Avoid at all costs, 888 were very happy to take my son’s money but make it very difficult to withdraw. After sending all documents still find errors holding his money for over 3 weeks up-to now. At one point he found it so stressful as he has ADHD and very inpatient gambled his £200 winnings he was waiting to withdraw. Will be looking into the complaints procedures as this is unacceptable and they need reviewing from gambling commission. I can see it’s not just one off incident, so will be looking into how many customers and how much winnings this company has with held and they need to compensate with interest also. Depositing and losing is easy with sport 888 but as soon as you have a win your account get restricted and can’t sign in. Be warned, they make it very, very difficult for you to get your funds back. To start with it comes up with an error when you try and enter back details, but it’s not an error, it’s a block to stop you. You then have to provide your passport, bank statements, utility bills and other forms of ID before they put you into a queue to process…I’m now at 9 weeks and still no reply and no money back, despite using a complaint resolution company. Now waiting for gambling commissioner to review handling. Use another well know gambling company, not 888 as it’s not worth the hassle. No checks made whatsoever when you’re giving them money…handy for them perhaps.

Signed up to bet on the champions league finals as they had a 10 pound money back bet builder promotion going. I signed up fine, deposited and bet. Lost the bet. I’ve now just been informed on live chat that I’m not eligible for ANY promotions and my account is being restricted! Bet on the Grand National and won. Only needed a card to place deposit. To withdraw winnings they want bank account details, recent bank statement and photo ID WITH signature. The only reason for this site to need that much information is to fake and steal your ID. I was having no issues and had a verified account. I received 3 withdrawals in March without incident. Nothing changed with my bank account or my 888 account. Fast forward 12 days and now I cannot withdraw. I have 2 pending April 11 and 15. The first one was “rejected by my bank” and they haven’t attempted the 2nd. I have sent my documents through the website and to several different email communications. I have spent far too much money on the site, even reached VIP status and now the $200 + $300 withdraw requests are still awaiting processing. I keep getting the run around, through chat function and through emails “sorry, we have no update for you”. I would not have put more in and attempted another withdraw if I would have known they were going to do everything in their power to keep prevent me access to the funds. They also refused to cancel one of the pendings so I could at least play with some of my money while they sort whatever out on their end. I just want the money back, which is still far less than I have put in.

I provided documentation to this Company and they come back and accused me of providing an out of date passport after stopping my account due to no verification on their system.As if it was not bad enough before dealing with this company, I advised them that if they looked closely they can view the passport expiring March 2027.Hopefully its not me but I think that’s three years away. I feel that this Company has a lot to answer for and gives me an indication of how much attention to detail has gone down rapidly over the past ten years. I’m very much disappointed on this site , they allowed me to deposit close to £1300 with no wins only for them to bun me till the 27th of June . To me this looks more of a scam when I had hopes I would get the money back only to realise my depositing has been blocked . I tried to withdraw my balance and got error messages, tried many ways for 30 minutes.Spoke to customer service eventually who said they would pass on request. Provided details as requested by customer service and advised withdrawal would be processed. I have had an 888 account for many years but stopped using them a long time a go as I had fallen out of love with gambling.
