They will take your money as a deposit before you are verified so not only can you not make a bet BUT YOU CAN NOT WITHDRAW YOUR MONEY!!! This process could take days or weeks! BEWARE!!

Awful customer service and response time. An agent opened an account for me on my behalf so I could change my address (moved country). After one session they locked my account for a review which has now been pending for 2 weeks. Numerous contact attempts ignored, no time frame given and money withheld.

Horrible site, STAY AWAY, the blackjack is so rigged. You get 20 against a 2, they pull 6 cards for a 21 and you lose. The dealer is always showing a Ten and 75% of the time they have 20. When you hit your 16 you get a ten, when the dealer hits they get just the card needed to win. Do not waste your money!!!! I can’t post pictures or videos on their facebook but have screen video’s of this horrible site stealing hands.

Waited until the moment I made a deposit, then suspended account asking for verification. Sent the documents straight away, thinking my account will be reactivated quite shortly. Unfortunately that is not the case as it has been more than 72h since then. Customer support is nearly none existent. Apparently my verification has been given a 'priority' to get resolved, but again, it has been 10h and nothing happened. Total disaster. Find a better casino to give your hard earned cash away.

Deposited a tenner, had a crack at bingo and won. Wagered x amount and my winnings were then cash. Cashed out, logged back on to be told my account was closed. Oh. So off to live help I go, asking if it’s possibly because of a verification issue, as that’s happened before on other sites with photo ID and the rest

non-existent customer service…avoid

Suddenly closed account of over 20 years with a 5 figure sum in the balance without reason, didn't even tell me until I tried to log in. Only online chat available, no telephone number to call or email to write to.
Refused to give any explanation or reasoning or to engage in any way, and after 2 hours of online chat reluctantly agreed funds sitting on exchange could be returned in due course and could not be cashed out even though the markets are in-running so i'm left exposed with no ability to change my mind at any point with a five figure exposure!

Would not give details of any escalation process and said decision was final.
Suggest others write to IBAS about Betfair with similar issues and follow the 'call to evidence' in the Gambling Act review the government are just publishing, it's clear from the comments on here there is a big issue with how Betfair treat their customers.

Just tried to sign up, sat down spent some of my life filling in the form online. Right at the end after spending 10 minutes filling the form a pop up said something like 'we have to know this is you' then the screen just went blank!!! wasted more of life waiting to see if something was loading up but nothing happened. Just a little bit fed of websites not working properly in this modern age.

What has happened to them? I have held my account for 12 years, never had any issues. I have bet over £100,000 with them in that time period and am a priority customer. The way that I have been treated is disgusting.

They suspended my account and told me that I had to send in a copy of my passport, bank statements and payslips. I was fine with the first two things but I do not work anymore, I am retired and, therefore, cannot provide them with payslips.

I have tried to speak to people, tried to email, tried to chat and the responses that I have gotten are simply shocking. I have been told that they "don't know" what documentation someone in my position can provide. I have tried to escalate the issue, taking up hours of my time, but to no avail. I have been unable to speak to a manager at all, apparently they don't deal with the public, and most of the time I don't even get a response from them.

If that's how they treat priority customers then heaven knows how they treat their regular customers!

I have been to Cheltenham in the Betfair box, I had a great relationship with them, but now they won't even give me the time of day.

So, if you are a serious punter looking for a genuine place to bet where you are treated correctly, DO NOT CHOOSE BETFAIR!

Horrible customer service. Minimum free spins no matter how much you play and even when I’m getting free spins I can’t use them because it says I have other active bonuses. As if it affects each other if I win free spins on a promo.

And when I try to contact customer service it’s impossible. Even when I get a reply, they say they will take a look on that issue and they never get back with a resolution.

If there was truly ever, a more loathsome twosome that thoroughly deserve each other, then this is a match made in heaven. Dishonest, full of bu*****t, unscrupulous and most of all greedy and that's being generous. Betfair was amazing when when it first appeared online ( i joined in 2003 ) and it was a breath of fresh air against the bookmaking industry, great opportunities to back ( at much better odds ) or lay and a there was a massive array of markets on all sports. Then rather than take the option of increasing commission slightly, they started to shaft people with the greedy premium charge and move the goalposts and they got away with it all because there was a total lack of opposition. Customer service totally evaporated and just became non existent, just like my account really, as i soon got tired of having my pants pulled down with the extra charges. Then they got involved with an even greedier little wretch that is paddy power ( can anybody get more than £5 on with these shysters ) and it all went downhill rather quickly and is a shadow of the company it once was. For me it is an absolute travesty that no other exchange has mounted any serious competition to them ( betdaq, for the amount of time it has been going hasn't improved an inch and the rest are a complete waste of time ) then maybe they wouldn't have got so dominant and greedy and made the rules up as they went along, knowing full well that they could get away with it. I thoroughly hope, ( although doubt it ) something can change in the future and they get there comeuppance and people leave in droves and tell them to f*** off, Only got themselves to blame if that happened. greedy b******s.

I have had a Betfair account for 18 years and now I have been asked for I.D. The e-mail I received stated my account activity would be restricted if I did not comply. Betfair actually closed the account [ circa £5000] so I could not make withdrawals . A few years ago you could ring Betfair ,speak to a handler to have a problem sorted. Not now. E-mails ,texts and talking to a phone operator is futile. Betdaq would be a better alternative if it had much mor liquidity.

I made over €14000 loss through the system !! At the beginning it was ok, then there were unannounced rollovers, take profits with high losses and no contact with customer service.
I believe 90% of customers have losses! With the terms and conditions, you quickly notice that the company does not want to keep customers long, they only allow customer one day to comment, otherwise the complaint will no longer be processed and further emails will be ignored!. I secured the help of a recovery specialist who helped me retrieve a fair amount of my lost funds without any hitch, and I would highly recommend her to you out there globally who have been affected or in similar situation to get in touch with her via mail,( tahibroshey at Gee M ).
I'm terrified and disappointed that this company would put their reputation on the line like this but just like me I believe justice will prevail ultimately in your situation.

Betfair promote a “Spend £10 & receive £50 in free bets” on many social media sites, especially tipsters on insta. The advert is deliberately designed to insinuate that your £10 bet be a treble – which is heavily pushed by these people.. only when you follow this instruction, Betfair say, no, even though you bet a treble, (as heavily suggested in the promo advert) it should be a single, and refuse to pay you out. These people know what they are doing. They widely circulate these adverts via these various social media sources, conveniently “leaving out” the fact that it HAS to be a single, saying the bets (the free bets) MUST be a treble, making you think that the £10 should be a treble. Then, when you try and claim it, they say “oh, where did you see that, send us the link” and then claim ignorance, “it’s nothing to do with us, THESE are our tens and conditions/offer details “. It’s a very widely circulated and used scam. I called a tipster on insta on it and reported his account and about 50 of his pages. He knew what he was doing. Defrauding people, and Betfair instigated out and are complicit too. Keep your eye out for this scam “Bet £10 get £50” read the ad and I guarantee it will suggest you need to bet a treble to get the £50. The £10 treble I DID bet was winning (2/3 legs) and then the cash out function was completely removed for the whole of the third game so I couldn’t cash out £60. When I complained, they said basically we can do whatever we want to do regarding cash out and our terms protect us. They are basically thieves, and fraudsters. The fact that they can operate in this fashion shows how Shiite the regulator is. That said, I’m still COMPLAINING EVERY DAY (still waiting for a reply, they’ve not sent a final decision in writing yet, but I don’t care, I won’t let it go, building the case). Afterimage get their final decision, legally they have to refer it to an independent adjudicator if you are unhappy with their decision, so if they’ve fuuucked you then you can get that decision in your favour. Also going to the regulator, and if necessary taking them to court, and all over a tenner!! lol waaankers.. AVOID #Boycottbetfair

Well I don’t know of any site or tipster that gives free betting tips, but I know or tipster on instagram that give hundred percent assured odds on payment afterwinning basis. I found him on Instagram he is by name EDDY_TIPS on Instagram, I have worked with him for over 7months now during this covid_19 hard times , for sure he have really redeemed me . Very dodgy.
I join on a Wed night, am emailed to say that my account is a go.
On Thursday I try to bet on Trump, and am told I cannot because I am from outside the USA or something.
I then go through the process of withdrawing my deposit.
Within an hour I receive an email saying my account is locked, and I am unable to withdraw my money.
I am supposed to sent ID etc, to unlock it, just to get my money back.
Seems very suspicious and I will never use again, even if I get my money back.

I have only been betting a short while I was enjoying it until someone in Zimbabwe managed to sign into my betfair account and clear me out. Betfair said it's nothing to do with them. Be very careful don't think your money is safe. Take all the precautions necessary to protect yourself. Betfair did refund me probably because it was only £200. I quite enjoyed using the Exchange for a while but then I discovered I had been excluded from using any of their promotions. No email, nothing. On live chat I was just told 'it was a business decision' and that's that. Wow.

Revoked my access to promotions that other customer can get with no explanation and blind arrogance. Perhaps it was becuase I started to win a bit of money?

I have never come across worse customer service ever. It’s all designed not to help you and to make profit for the company that’s why they don’t have anyone to speak to in person so they make it difficult by not answering your querie direct. It’s shameful that Betfair operate this way and treat good customers with no respect. Like many reviews on here, I have discovered the hard way that Bet"fair" (how sickly ironic the name), are quite simply thieves and scam artists out to relieve you of any money, any way they can. I foolishly went for their bet £10 receive x £50 in free bets but without bothering with too much detail, they reneged and then refused to communicate when I complained, simply happy to have nicked a tenner off me, job done, not caring if I never used them again – (which clearly I wouldn't!!). What was worse was my football treble was 2/3 of the way there, when the 'cash out' facility, suddenly and conveniently vanished, not enabling me to cash out,( Should've been at least £30-50), for the ENTIRETY of the 90 minutes of the third (leg) football match. This underhand and UNFAIR use of the cash out facility which they are advertising as a benefit feature for customers, only to withdraw it when it suits their purposes (i.e. if there is any chance for that customer winning!). When I attempted to complain, the agent (who was sneering & arrogant, none caring), simply pointed to terms stating that it is within Betfairs remit to offer/withdraw cash out whenever they saw fit. Still waiting for them "To write to me", (Just fob u off).
SO, things learned; 1). Reading about all of these issues from genuine people on here, and no doubt the probable thousands more who didn't bother sharing their experiences, WHAT are the Betting "Regulator" (and I use that term very, very loosely), doing? The answer is nothing. I had a look on their website, and it is very clear that it is a pointless and ineffective, political organisation, there for "show", which conveniently "Don't take on individual cases", basically giving Betting Companies carte blanche to do whatever they want to. It is a disgrace. More than likely, the people running that organisation are taking backhanders from the well-heeled betting companies' lobbyists, allowing this shearing of the general public to go on without any opportunity for redemption or punishment.
2). Clive Owen – This man is an absolute disgrace choosing to be the figurehead for this nefarious, disgusting organisation. I for one, now view him in a completely different light after my experience and latterly, my understanding of how Bet"fair" are run & being operated. He is using his reputation & (supposed) integrity, to say to people, bet here, this company does things properly & the right way, when in fact they are not and they are effectively tricking and stealing off people. The cash-out function he advertises on those slick adverts being a case in point. He should hang his head in shame not just associating with these crooks but being the public bait that draws people in – "Hey its me Clive Owen, a person of integrity, this company is alright". He needs to read these reviews.By doing what he's doing, he is tarring himself with Bet"fairs" dirty brush just 4 (no doubt a lot of) money. This means that Clive Owen is NOT a man of integrity but is complicit in the fraud and theft of this nefarious organisation. Hang your head in shame Clive Owen, you are a money-grabbing disgrace and I for one will never watch anything you are in again, you are the public face of a bunch of tricksters operating scams openly & brazenly. 3. Finally, like others on here, I have made the connection between Paddy Power and Bet"fair" (who own them), including the similar, cheating way that they operate and the utter lack of any real customer services or recourse. It is clear these companies MUST BE BOYCOTTED and the message shared. In my experience, Ladbrokes seem to be a company operating fairly and openly.
The whole gambling industry is like the Wild West, due to the complete non-existence of any ineffective governance from the "Regulator", again, I use that term in loose reference only. I recall Tracey Crouch MP quitting her cabinet post over a point of principle relating to betting terminals being reduced to £2 from £100. This noble, selfless act is a thing of scarcity and honour in this day & age and is one of the few acts in recent public life standing up for a principle on behalf of the people that they are supposed to represent and protect. More & more people are turning to gambling in this country in desperation, having lost their jobs post Covid. That is why it is imperative that we have a Gambling Ombudsman who have teeth and are actively policing these tricks perpetuated by the sharks in the industry & stamping them out, doing the job they are paid 2 do, protecting the people, instead of taking backhanders, allowing the sheep to get sheared so brazenly. I call 4 sweeping reforms to be made, sack the entire board & make Tracey Crouch the new Betting Tzar, someone clearly with integrity. This is the worst betting site I have come across. Always delay pay out when you win. Today I just waited 45 minutes to collect my winning and it was not until I called to complain then they made the payment.
Also for withdrawal, they don’t pay you until you call to complain. Then they made the payment.

Tonight the Nacional (Par) v Guairena match was interrupted at the beginning of the second half due to floodlight failure for about 25 minutes. Betfair immediately suspended the match, when play resumed the match remained suspended for the rest of the second half (about 40minutes). No trading could be undertaken and I like many people consequently lost money because we could not trade out. Betfair should have cancelled all trades but are just shysters and its their charges first, no wonder they're losing customers. I like many others have am now moving my trading to other exchanges

I had a 4 fold accumulator on spread across 4 different times first game won second and third game kicked off 30 mins apart from each other so while the 3rd team was in at half time the 2nd team was on the 60th ish min that part of the bet come in as need them to have 19 shots that was all which they did, the third game then kicked off for the 2nd half then they took my cash out away completely and then the bet flopped bearing on mind my cash out before the half time was around £200 which I was going to take but Cashout was taken away and I was told the traders have withdrawn from the cash out and it’s not a guaranteed thing they do….. Had a winning bet for a player to have 2 shots on target which happened. The bet was settled then 5 mins later reversed and marked as losing claiming there was only one shot on target. I supplied them with video evidence of the 2 shots on target, they even confirmed by online chat that it would be classed as settled but are refusing to pay out. Ripping off punters and acting in a fraudulent manner . Never use this conning ripping on fraudulent c@@ts ever again.
