They'll lure you in with an offer, such as the £30 Acca Refund offer I went with, and then once you've signed up and lost your bet, they won't actually give you the refund. I've been on Live Chat three times and keep getting fobbed off, told it was the old offer, even though they emailed it to me 2 days ago. Any decent bookie would just accept it as their mistake and give the refund as a good will gesture but Betway are doing whatever they can not to pay out. Also you can't email them, they no longer monitor their support@ email address, so you can't send them any screenshots, and Live Chat won't open links of screenshots you send them via Imgur etc.

So I joined up today and I got a £20 bonus to my already deposited £20 , won in the vicinity of £300 so I decided to withdraw my wins , few hours later to my surprise I get a £20 refund and a unhelpful customer care live chat guy saying I forfeit my wins when clicking withdraw so they’re £20 bonus will cancel all your wins apparently what a joke gutted

All this time I was thinking it only happened to me, but something told me to google Betway fraud and all this came up. If it’s 1 person I would think system error but for it to happen to almost a dozen people then something does not seem right. I’ve been trying to withdraw from Sunday the 17th and still nothing. I made a bet on +1 goal on Atalanta in their Champions League game last night (20/10/2021) v Manchester United.

The game ended 3-2 to Manchester United. Under the rules of asian handicap section under the football rules section of the Betway website, it states and I quote "if the number of goals for each team are level after the handicap has been applied, it will result in a 'void' with the stake being returned".

Betway incorrectly settled the bet as a loss. I contacted Betway straight after the result to outline this including submission of screenshot of the bet placed as requested. After contacting Betway to point out this error via the live chat, after 3 hours, Betway will not honour my bet in direct violation of their own stated rules and have been unable to provide a valid explanation as to why they will not do so.

I urge anyone reading this to take their business to a honest and reputable bookmaker. Why take the chance with Betway who seemingly will decide arbitrarily at random which bets it honour, rather than settling bets in accordance with it's own published betting rules.

I have attached a screenshot of my bet as my profile so that you may judge for yourselves. The choice is yours.

I had to press one star to get into this messaging, however they don’t deserve one star.
I have used them for years with no problems and suddenly my account is locked?
They tell me to verify my account and I did, I sent a copy of my drivers lisence. They then said it would be resolved in 24 hours.
Anyway one week later I still have a locked account and can’t reach them.
They tell me to contact customer service and you go around ina big circle unable to do this. The email they offer states they are not monitoring the site. The phone number they offer states because of COVID they are not answering calls.The Q&a is inactive. At this point I am very frustrated, they have my funds and I have zero way of contacting them.

Very difficult to leave offensive words from this review…. 4 months later….. after Betway closed and locked my account. still no reason/explanation given btw. The worst part is the balance containing my winnings has not been returned to my bank account. It sickens me to see West Ham United show up on my TV screen every Saturday wearing the despicable Betway logo across the Chest… but also some joy watching them get pounded into the dirt where their sponsor belongs. If the EPL wasnt full of junk squads it would all be worth it if these thieves were relegated all the way to the 3rd division where this 3rd rate Betway Company belongs…….

They purposely don't have a proper contact us link on the website. Then they make you wait hours to chat with someone. After the person wastes some more of your time, she tells you to send an email to support. My email hasn't been replied to in over a weak. These guys are so bad that they don't even have an automated email reply system. They don't care that they make a ton of monies off of bets by people like us. Betway wants to get greedy and cheat people out of their money too. My bank has proven to me that the money is with you.

My friend opened an account with them recently expecting to get their welcome sports bet offer but instead got a ridiculous casino bonus added straight to his account on deposit that splits your cash and bonus at a ratio of 63%/37%. This is just added to your account on deposit!! How underhand! He hadn't noticed until after a few sports bets won.

The most corrupt part of it all is he would have to wager 2.8k to release the bonus yet corruptly, even though sports bets DON'T count towards wagering, if you win, your sports bet winnings are split and added into a locked bonus fund!!! In all of my time placing bets at various bookmakers, I have never witnessed anything so underhand and corrupt. He finally withdrew his cash balance and had to forfeit £250 of his bonus amount and some of that bonus was actually sports bets winnings.

AGAIN!! today he deposited another amount and AGAIN they added this bonus. Thankfully he noticed this time and brought it to their attention on live chat. The chat representative said it couldn't be removed for 7 days so again he withdrew his deposited amount. Please AVOID opening an account with this corrupt and disgusting bookmaker who are purposely exploiting new customers in this appalling and no doubt questionable as to whether it's even legal manner. Shocking!!!

Very poor company to deal with.

I opened an account to take the advertised bet £10 get £30 of free bets. The offer was not honored but they gave me a very questionable bonus which sports bets contribute zero to wagering requirements but winnings from your sports bets get split 63% cash and 37% bonus….with no way to wager through the bonus on sports bets. So, if you can place bets where the winnings get split cash/bonus why don’t sports bets contribute to wagering.

If I could be bothered taking this to IBAS I would, but it’s just not worth the effort with this dodgy Betway people.

I ended up withdrawing to cancel my accrued bonus and foregoing £250 of bonus money…..but then when I tried depositing again they tried adding back another bonus….get real….that’s so underhand….

I asked to have the bonus removed from my account and apparently that’s not possible….WHAT? Jokers.

I opened a new account and did everything necessary for the welcome offer (bet £10 get a £10 free bet), and I was not given the free bet. There is no obvious way of speaking to customer services on the website.

Total con, I put an accumulator on, after 75 minutes all my 9 teams where on top, but one was drawn at 75 minutes, tried to cash out but wouldn't let me, so for the last 15 minutes, they wouldn't let me cash out,, worst betting site ever, I thought foxy bingo was a con, until I came on betway, no more taking my money, definitely stopping using sites, you never win, they take every bit of money off you, bye betway

Sadly, I think the motto of Betway support is "Ignore them, they'll get fed up and go away eventually." Have to ignore their determination when it comes to holding on to one's money though. They begin with a few weak excuses, then just totally ignore one.

They only owe me a measly £35.00, but when you consider they probably owe thousands of other punters the same amount, it puts it in perspective.

Rene from BetOnline chat services was very rude. We ask for a supervisor and he just said to me that if there is something else that he can assist with…. I ASK SEVERAL TIMES AND HE JUST END THE CHAT SESSION VERY RUDELY ON BEHALF OF BETWAY . the agent was rude and denied me a supervisor. I've left one star because I can't leave zero. I tried to withdraw £35.00 over a week ago. After a couple of days I received an e-mail telling me that they couldn't send money to my card, the card that I had used both to deposit and withdraw previously. After a wasted hour on live chat I received another e-mail saying that if I used the same card to deposit again, in would in effect "re-activate" the card. Like a mug, I deposited yet again with same card, still no money.

After another "live chat" I was told that my card was unsuitable. (The card that was suitable to deposit with, but not to withdraw to).
At one time, when they kept asking me to deposit using a different car, I asked if they could return my requested withdrawal to my account. No chance, yet every other online bookie/casino offers that service. Mind you Betway know you're not getting it either way, so it just saves admin work.

I'd rather they just said "We're not paying you." I could then write the money off. Well, I've done that now anyway, but they could have made it a lot more simpler.

HORRIBLE!! They don’t even give a bonus I bet everything from 10 cents to $5 a spin and I can’t win a single dollar. Absolutely awful customer service. I withdrew 100 pounds. Two days later I closed my account. Received an email saying the withdrawal failed (even though I had used this account many times for deposits and withdrawals). There is no customer services to speak to direct it's just an answer machine bot that cuts you off and now they are not responding to my emails. Absolutely disgusting as they are quick to take your money just not to pay it back. Never use betway, even if you win you don't get paid.

I've never written a review before because my time is precious, but feel compelled with this company, such is the abysmal level of customer service. I deposited £200, placed a few bets, and withdrew about the same amount, possibly slightly more. But since my account was locked as soon as I requested the withdrawal, I can't check. That was the end of August. I got an email asking me to upload valid photo identification and a photo which I duly did, and a pop up confirmed the documents were uploaded. A bit of a pain and unnecessary for £200. I've bet a lot more with other firms and not been asked for anything. I then got an email on the 16th Sept saying they also wanted a bill. They could have asked for this in the first email but they didn't. I sent the photo ID again and an electric bill on the 21st Sept. This was at least acknowledged the same day, but on the 28th I still hadn't got the money, my account unlocked, or a response so I chased it up. On the 29th I got an email saying my photo ID had been approved and that it may take 1-2 days to review the electric bill. "please join us on live chat for further assistance" when you do eventually find live chat (it's very well hidden) you realise that you can't use it without logging in. There is no telephone number either. 13 days later it's still not been reviewed. I am as sure as I can be that if I didn't chase it up I'd never get paid. The customer support email is not actively monitored, which doesn't fill you with any confidence, and with the apparent complete lack of staff, I'd question whether the firm is on the brink of insolvency. Perhaps it's just a complete mess staff wise because of COVID, which beggars the question why give themselves all this needless extra work to process a withdrawal in an account with £200 in it.

Honestly the worst customer service ever. I tried to call them the line does not work and they have auto chat lines that have responses pre-made to not allow you to chat properly. I have been told my source of funds needs to be approved, I gave betway all my information for 14 days and they still have no approved my account. I have lost my withdrawals funds of $4500 and it’s honestly so upsetting and sad. They locked my withdrawals and are suspending my account. I have them all the information they ever wanted such as my T4 Tax documents, T1, my personal income, bank statements, source of funds from my job, source of funds from covid insurance, etc. This has been absolutely overwhelming as I have been upset I may have lost all my money possible. I have my recipe it’s of my withdrawals requests and received an email saying they are putting it on hold. It’s honestly sad how they think people are money laundering and then suspending their accounts. I provided NUMEROUS emails and they still have not let my source of funds be accepted. PS: this started occurring when I started winning a lot of money.

Do not go with Betway, and I hope they read this review and try to help me get my withdrawals and account back.

worst customer service i have ever experienced across sports betting sites. They are thieves. Avoid at all costs. They send auto responses that don't answer questions, they give SLA's that they dont keep. And most importantly they rob you. They are refusing to verify my account despite sending all required documents multiple times and following up daily with no response from betway. They have will not let me withdraw my funds, they are an absolute disgrace. If you are reading this i hope you are doing so before joinging betway. Unfortunately I only came here after a bad experience. Avoid at all costs.

STAY AWAY !! PLEASE READ .. THEY DO NOT PAY OUT ON SLOTS. I was playing for 3 hours multiple different games and did not win more than 5$ once . I was playing $1-2$ per spin.
