I AM ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED BY THIS SITE. THEY WERE BRILLIANT TO START WITH. NOW THEY WANT BANK STATEMENTS AND IMAGES OF MY BANK CARDS. I SENT THIS TO THEM SHOWING FULL BANK STATEMENTS. I REDACTED PAYMENTS AND AMOUNTS GOING TO OTHER COMPANIES WHICH WERE NOT SMARKETS. I NOW HAVE AN EMAIL FROM THEM SAYING THEY WANT TO SEE REDACTED PAYMENTS. SMARKETS. THIS IS VERY PRIVATE. YOU HAVE DETAILS SHOWING TRANSACTIONS TO YOU SO WHAT BUSINESS IS IT OF YOURS TO SEE OTHER TRANSACTIONS. THIS IS PRIVATE. MY OPINION OF YOUR COMPANY HAS GONE FROM AMAZING TO ABSOLUTELY THE LOWEST OF THE LOW. I KNOW YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW REGULATIONS BUT COME ON, TRANSACTIONS THAT DONT RELATE TO SMARKETS ARE PRIVATE AN NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

liquidity on is very poor, large gaps in prices even up to the off. only look to facilitate their market makers. if you put in an arb from betfair it wont get taken which is quite bizarre to be honest. place markets dont even bother.

Terrible site,I deposited £20 by paypal and then tried to place a yankee bet but couldnt?then contacted chat and advised no exotics available🙄Then tried twice to place a single horse bet but slow glitchy site made that impossible.Contacted chat to close account after hitting withdraw button to take deposit back.I was asked why closing account and gave reasons above,"ok thanks "was all i got,no apology for the crap service then just cut me off ,must happen a lot.
These new betting sites are useless,used a tried and tested one,total amateurs.AVOID.
Would give zero stars but have to give 1 to review.

Please stay away from this site, after placing bets on here I went to do a withdrawal it took them 3 days to process and still no funds received from them. There support are no help saying please contact us for ARN number but still not given it to me. Better sites out there than these. Shame I can't give zero starts because it would be!!!!

Terrible site and give you nothing after opening an account no more free bets avoid at all costs far better sites that give you weekly free bets. bETFAIR by far better exchange site amd give you fat better odds especially on football amnd cricket

They have a faster app compared to betfair, I have the account with them for about two years and I place 100 to 300 pound bets on top tier football.

The reson why I give them 4 stars is because they don't have big liquidity, sometimes I have to wait a bit tonbe matched.

Total waste of time. Limited to peanuts. Thought it was just horses so put a 4 timer mug acc up for soccer and it paid 8/1 Max bet £12 . Won't even let me bet to win 100!!

Don't use Smarkets…if you start winning they will close your account…it is only my suspicion but i think the marginal exchanges are now starting to bet on their own exchanges to get more profit..and if they have shrewd punters who out bet them…they close those accounts. I suggest you close your account with Smarkets and finish these marginal exchanges..best thing i ever did.

Tried to add a new card to my account to replace my destroyed one customer service as usual these people was hopeless I have to go back to Sky bet they did it in seconds you can tell the customer service is what you done and then they they suggest it back to you you when you have just told them you've already done it why can't we rate them no stars you can spend thousands of pounds a week and they still will not ring you they don't deserve the business

Absolute ridiculous company. As soon as your in any decent kind of profit they become very aggressive in what they ask for. If you keep providing the proof they ask for they keep asking for more and more. Avoid at all Costs. They are horrendous company to use.

Smarkets warning

So, this probably comes to no surprise to anyone who uses Smarkets that they can be plagued by technical issues and as part of the terms and conditions they basically take no responsibility for any problems that arise because of that.
In my case a bet that I placed appeared on their website as matched but after the site crashed it appeared that the bet was not in fact matched. Smarkets admitted that the bet had appeared matched due to “technical issues,” but refused to honour the bet because “they are just an exchange, they don’t take bets but simply match them.”
I am writing this as a warning for anyone who uses Smarkets that there is no certainty that just because your bet appears matched that it is and you have no recourse at all when Smarkets refuses to payout.

The only reason I am giving smarkets 1 stare is because I can’t go below that, please avoid using smarkets at any cost as they have closed my account and have not refund my funds and it’s been over 4 weeks and they are holding my 7k.
And the reason for that is I could not provide source of funds according to them , where they have been asking me to provide bank statement of third person who has got nothing to do with smarkets . Basically smarkets blatantly asking me to breach GDPR where they have been asking me to provide bank statements of my friends whom I have transactions with. Neither I have any rights to ask for third persons bank statement nor it states any where in smakets terms and condition.
Anyone else have same experience please let me know as I have been going thru some stressful time ? And if I now need to get some legal help ? But please do not use their services rather have Betfair exchange account or betdaq or even matchbook but not smarkets. And they even stopped replying to my emails.

Settle bets correctly as winners then they settle as a loss an hour later so had to fight for my winnings. Blamed it on the info they got yet the info would have been correct initially as they settled the bet. Clearly trying their luck. Avoid this company if you want stress free enjoyable gambling. Also never needed to submit any documents with my ID yet they allowed me to withdraw which I didn't even think was allowed anymore

Smarkets was a decent company until late last month and it showed me what a scam company they are. Disabled my wallet with over $15005 in it for no reason and support couldn't help after days of no reply. I contacted Bestresolute.com and they helped me out and were able to get back my money from them. You can try them on Bestresolute.com if you face similar problems or need any assistance with getting back your money from scam related transactions on any platform

Poor. Only joined 2 days ago and I already felt the need to close my account. When everyone else on the high street refunds bets because of an incident, such as when the starter makes mistakes and your horse doesn’t get a run, Smarkets don’t. Totally inflexible company..

Accumulators are not 'exact calculations' according to customer services, so you put an acca on at 'best odds' but the final acca odds are lower than you would get elsewhere because of this 'non-exact' calculation……. very misleading

Absolutely shockingly bad customer service advisors. I had read the bad reviews on here but just thought that the people leaving them were moaners…now I know from personal experience just how ignorant and unhelpful they really are. Scum. On a 0% offer which expired for around 10 minutes before I got it back on. OF COURSE, in those 10 minutes I placed bets worth £10,000s, so what would have been a nice profit, turns into a big loss. Smarkets refuse to apply the 0% offer I've been on for 4 years. The amount of money I've made them getting on lay bets creating markets in that time which is why they give the offer to matched bettors, and they can't do the decent thing and apply said offer on bets placed in such a small window where it had ran out.

It's not about the money lost rather than won in the slightest, in matched betting you do on rare occasions mess up and take a loss. It wasn't a HUGE amount either way, it's the principle of it. A £150 profit turned into a £45 loss in itself is not worth crying over. However Smarkets could have done "the right thing" and made any bets placed in that small window (less than 10 minutes) also have 0%. Said window was so small, about 1/3 of my bets DID get 0%, it was only when the maths didn't add up I realised.

Wasn't the first time something like this happened as well, previously the "window" I keep harping on about where the bets were placed and I lost about 30 quid was quite big, if I'd checked my e-mails earlier it wouldn't have happened. The same principle applies though, treat customers earning you a % of every single bet on every single market with some decency you rancid scummy company which profits massively from an addiction.

Another thing to add, judging Smarkets subjectively and not on their very recent rancid behaviour, if you want to use an exchange to just bet with casually and not matched betting, the 2% Betfair charge vs the 2% Smarkets "theft" in comparison is insane. Betfair is on such a high level that smarkets try to charge the same commission is laughable. Betfair have more liquidity, more "obscure" events to bet on, their own sportbook which really good odds if you want to place an Accy, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, they actually have half decent customer service

Cash out option stopped working mid bet, contacted customer service who told me they were "working to fix the problem" should probably make people aware of the problem before accepting bets, customer service was appalling, closed my account within a week of opening it, bet in question was an 8 fold acca with 7 legs up,they are absolute chancers

I placed 2 football bets. Both bets accepted, both came up and when I checked my account I still had my stake in account.spoke to customer services and was told bets were cancelled. Would've won 200

guys ill be honest am 21 and this app is not bad. the only issue is authentication errors and bugs its annoying as if they try do it so you cant do early cash in on bets….. apart from that i got paid next day twice so iam happy and upset

Despite SBK being a clean and easy to use platform, they are forever let down by their awful withdrawal system. Where do I start? Deposits are instant, withdrawals take 6 hours…unless they fail of course. Which they do a lot. Once you contact customer service, no one is able to tell you when you will receive your withdrawal either – usually just palmed off with a “wait for a confirmation email”. In all the other bookies I’ve used, I’ve never come across a platform where a withdrawal can “fail” or get “stuck”, what does that even mean? It happens multiple times. SBK has the potential to be great but it need serious work. Can only give it 2 stars for now.

One of the worst companies I have ever encountered! I had just signed up and they suspended my account! I sent them my verification details and they emailed back after several hours waiting and said they aren’t able to verify my account. I had mistakenly put in my partners dob and I wrote to live chat explaining this and that it was no problem in changing the dob. I have bank statements and a passport. Who else could I be?? Disgusting behavior and I will never recommend this company!! Deserves 0 stars!

well ive not even heard of them until this week after a friend recommended and said they have a £10 welcome if i top up £20 deposit.

I signed up and less then 30 seconds, when trying to make a deposit, im typing my card number and BAM, my account is banned!

got an email saying im only allowed one account even though i l have just this second signed up for the first time in my life.

ive sent email to support as the live chat wouldnt work even though i clicked the link on the email. so ive now missed on the 2 events i was going to bet on because they have suspended my new account.

I call them manipulated matches, but I will love to disclose this little secret so I can help some life, am already a retired office so most times am always at home . Absolute shocking robbery, I have had a lot of money withheld with casinos but out of all of them the sheer greedyness here has really irritated me even though the value is not much at all in this case.

Had a treble last night, it came in apart from a tennis match which was still live and my selection went from 12/5 to clear favorioute so I went to sleep.

Woke up today, checked the match and it was cancelled at 1 set each and 4 games each.

Point blank refusal to pay out and they just quote their terms and condition (which do not state a match WONT be voided beyond a first set) Not a f%&@ given about the customer.

I’ve actually put around £1200 in betting with SBK and never done a withdrawal. When a company is this greedy that they won’t void and payout a £40 bet.. that’s a very bad sign.

Very very bad inplay odds as appose to others. impossible to put a bet on because it always freezes (unless the odds start going against you meanwhile or a goal is scored, in which case they will happily take your bet)

Just steer clear, these guys are honestly crooks, I have emailed them explaining the above and that I wish to close my account and they have now permenantly closed it as requested, stating that the decision made as per their T&C’s is final

Can’t stress enough how much of a trap this is to push further odds in their favour.

I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about? You just need to make sure you see what can be staked below on less popular markets. I've joined Smarkets and it's brilliant. You get paid out straight away, faster than other bookies. I've had accounts with all the big dogs and smarkets is my favourite so far. Best odds by far. They send regular emails and are very professional. Bit clunky for doing acccumaltors but I really like the platform and design. Full marks from me. Nice one Smarkets! Craig

Avoid them at all costs! Someone used my debit card to bet with this company, taking 190.00 from my account. Contacted Smarkets, and they couldn't do anything. Their response was poor, saying just report it to the police, and even asked me for the last 4 digits of my stolen debit card that I refused to do. Appalling service and company! I use Smarkets, Matchbook, Betfair and Betdaq and Smarkets is definitely my favourite. Website is the easiest to use and isn't dated like some others. I can't vouch for them on the customer service side of things however as I haven't had to speak to them yet (probably a good sign)

So pleased with this exchange. Easy to use… And reliable.. Unlike MATCHBOOK who to be honest I think are a bunch of crooks who should have their licence taken away from them.. Which they did for a while last year. So have moved all my business over to SMARKETS and a no other.. Not too difficult to work out 🙂 Well done SMARKETS. Keep up the great work. Been using Smarkets for around a year now. The integration into Profit Accumulator works really well which brings the commission down to 0%, never fail to get lays matched, quick payouts. Haven't had to contact support, so can't make any comment about that (hence holding back a star, just in case)

Don’t bet with this company. You cannot win.

I have just joined. There’s not a single football game in any league let alone all
Major premiership and first leagues, that you can bet overs and unders on half time goals. The markets literally freezes or the full game. You can only manage to do 1.5 and 2.5 pre-match and your bets are completely capped.

The most return I could get was £220 off 2.5 half time goals.

In other words. This company has designed so you cannot win past £220. It’s insane. Please go to a well now bookmakers like bet365 or betfred where you won’t struggle with this.

In play goals is impossible. They freeze all markets. It’s ridiculous how this company has got a license!

I have already reported them for saying they offer markets that don’t actually exists. They need to be shut down.

The actual layout and use of the site is like the matrix. It’s just an utter joke. Please have a look before joining. Save you time and money. They won’t let you win past £220 if you are looking for goal markets like myself.
