Be super careful with the sports betting machines. About 8 times in last year I have had a bet and a pop up comes up and says ‘unable to place bets’ so press it again and it says the same. Check the balance and its taken for 2 bets… even though they are a second or 2 apart the shop will refuse to cancel one. Oh and the ticket obviously doesn’t come out either. The tickets do not always come out but this has been an issue with their machines for a year or two now.The staff have hardly any customers to serve nowadays and pretty much never offer customer service and point you to the customer service line. Last time I called them because they settled the bet wrong (happens often) it cost me £15 to get them to correct a bet which was settled wrong – which they corrected.

***edit***After waiting for an hour an agreement was reached. Therefore have changed 1 star to 3. Always screenshot your web chats.***Glitchy website caused me to lose my joining deposit. The agents won’t accept this. I’ve asked for copies of the chat. They won’t send it.From the start registering my account brought up an error message. The deposit brought up an error message. I was assured I was opted into the promo even though this happend and even after I told them I couldn’t see it. I staked my money and no bonus. The automated bot told me my account was restricted. I was told they could resolve it, unrestrict me and get my spins by one agent, sent to another agent to do undo the restrictions who then sent me to another agent to sort out the spins. Light at the end of the tunnel? No, after all of this they told me they couldn’t as I hadn’t opted in and wouldn’t believe me when I said that this addressed at the begining with the first agent. I’ve been sent to different team members who only fobbed me off. First time I’ve ever had this with a website. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

I’ve had a William Hill account for a couple of months. I’ve placed a few small bets on various sports but I’ve not won anything. I received an email out of the blue saying they were restricting my account. I went to sign on to withdraw my money {£150} but discovered that my account is now suspended. I did a live chat and was told that William Hill have emailed to ask me for numerous selfies to verify my account – that is a complete lie – I checked my email including spam – they have not asked me for anything. The live chat operator went on to say the following :- Looks like our Security Team is reviewing 🔎 your account due to some restrictions. To complete the checks, we’ve previously sent an email asking for clear, readable, and uncropped photos of you holding these documents 📄 (something like a selfie 🤳):1) Your valid Government Photo ID2) Your Proof of Address issued within the last 3 months such as a bank/credit card statement showing your registered address and deposits made to your William Hill account.3) Your handwritten William Hill username and/or account number4) Proof of ownership for the payment methods(s) you’ve used to deposit funds. This can be a screenshot of the ‘My Account’ section of your e-wallet, showing your account number/e-wallet ID along with the transaction history showing the deposits to your William Hill account.I do not have an e-wallet. I’m not even sure what an e=wallet is. I used my bank card to deposit.After that, their operator cut me off without giving me any opportunity to respond. I think this it’s my third very bad review for William Hill casino and I have all the reason …That because I was till today one of they good clients “losers” But I am very happy because I close my account today HEEY!!! Rude and dangerouse Indian customer service.After „security question” and „gambling conversation” with Indian customer service operator there was attempt to rob my bank account from some company in India .I raport it on Police , i contact with Ciztizen Advice , my Bank and they said can’t do nothing about it .My Bank (Lloyds) said that they have few of situation like that and most of them was also related with William Hill.

Spent an hour on chat asking for further clarification on why I didn’t receive a free bet offered and even though not in the terms and conditions the agent refused to provide a reason.Without asking they then transferred me to a supervisor who I waited for, for well over an hour. Once the supervisor came on the chat; while still explaining the issue they repeated what the previous agent said provided no proof or terms and conditions of the conditions they were advising and closed the chat on me, after I waited well over an hour to speak with them.I contacted them furious about the way I was treated and the time wasted so I contacted again and was told my concern was escalated and someone would contact me within 24 hours. No one did. At this stage I was furious as had been using the website for over 10 years and spent a very high amount of money with them. Contacted them yet again and advise them I would give them one last chance to resolve the issue, they advised it was escalated again.A couple of days later they contacted me by email and advised most they could do is apologise, offer a 5 euro bet and advise the supervisor who was rude to me would get further training. After them wasted hours of my life, me waiting nearly 2 weeks, me experiencing the rudest customer service I have ever experienced and as a loyalty customer of over 10 years they offer a 5er as an apology.Unbelievably poor customer service, I would recommend not to use as if something goes wrong it’s going to be impossible to resolve.

Just spent 40 minutes on live chat been passed from one agent to another, was going to spend some time spelling out what a terrible company this is but after looking at the last twenty or so reviews I don’t think I’ll waste my time agreeing with everyone else, they are a bunch of incompetent fools who seem to enjoy treating their customers like dirt. William Hill should be stopped from the patronising letters they send to people. When you’re winning they put a stop on your withdrawals and then send you a patronising email telling you that you have a gambling problem. They might have the highest payout of all the major bookies but they also have the worst service for withdrawing your winnings. Quite simply they put a stop on your withdrawals when you win and then send you extremely patronising letters telling you you have a problem. I wouldn’t touch William Hill with a barge pole as I don’t like the way they operate.

I was interrupted at a betting terminal today by a member of WH staff telling me that I was betting 30% more than usual and did I have a problem? This was apparently relayed to them via my ‘algee-rithams’. This was the second time I had been in the shop over the previous 3 weeks, so it was hardly the case, and furthermore I don’t have a Plus Card so they can’t actually have monitored my betting. I suggest they learn what algorithms are, how they work and perhaps even how to pronounce the word itself. It may make them and their company seem slightly less ridiculous.
