I joined BetFair and redeemed my free spins. After filling in my details it came up “account verified” . I played my free spins without any problems and won a small amount of money. I decided to request payment as I usually do when I’ve joined a new site (to ensure that all is genuine). As soon as I requested to cash out my winnings I was asked for extra identification. I contacted the help desk to advise I had no photographic identification except the voters id form. I have proof of address and can verify my bank account. I am on the electoral role so my identity can easily be confirmed . However if there was an issue with my identity why was I allowed to participate in betting? The only time there was a problem was when I requested a payment

Hello. I was a Betfair customer for 5 years, using the exchange almost daily (and often the sportsbook) and out of nowhere Betfair closed my account and kept my balance (almost £5,000). They didn’t give me any explanation or satisfaction… they just said the account had been closed on business grounds. So I ask: is this the action of a serious company? Closing an account with 5 years of history, over £50,000 in lifetime summary, from a profitable customer who paid premium fees weekly? It seems that Betfair is trying to drive away profitable customers and only wants recreational ones, thereby ending the exchange. Personally, I find it tremendously unfair that they kept such money from me. Therefore, I advise you to be careful with Betfair and to deposit as little money as possible there, as they can close your account at any time without giving explanations.

Using vouchers as a withdrawal choice is a genius idea, who ever thought of that should be proud of themselves. Good choices as well. Great thinking forward from the site, and a better solution than putting in another “safe Play” tool. Happy to play knowing I can have this as a safe option (that works) when/ if i withdraw.

I placed a bet On Ten Lengths Tom in the 13:50 at Sandown on 09/03/2024.According to Weatherbys the horse was not qualified for the race and was withdrawn on 04/03/2024 with a press release to that effect on 05/03/2024.Betfair accepted my bet on 06/03/2024.I made the enquiry to Weatherbys because I noticed that several other firms were not quoting the horse shortly after I backed it.They are declaring it a losing bet despite many hours spent by me on Betfair ‘Help’ trying to get them to see sense.Apparently, I am to get a detailed explanation by email.I can’t wait!Update 20/03/2024: Betfair have eventually relented and paid up. I received an email (to which I am not allowed to reply) including an ‘apology for any inconvenience’. No word of compensation for hours spent on the ‘Help’ chat and the annoyance of being repeatedly, and condescendingly, told that I am wrong. Customer service? Bleh!

I reopened my account they said it’d be open on 2 days, 2 weeks later and every time I go on chat they refuse to help and tell me to wait. Constantly told lies and sometimes they’ll just disconnect me when I’ve been waiting an hour. Really poor service so I use other exchanges now

Praises to betfair. I have been with them a few years im not a big punter just a pensioner that likes to do E/W L15 on a saturday to watch racing on tv. I admit i closed my account because i had an Iffy fit over a free bet issue, so to replace then I tried skybet I am registered with them for the Free ITV7 bets, It ended up for some reason (Ive had no explanation) they sent me an email saying they were closing my account and put a “Self exclusion” on my account this effectively locked me out of Betfair as they are under the same parent company. How nasty of them. So I contacted Betfair explained about myself closing the account but also what skybet had done to me they on their chatline were very very helpful and understanding, the agent I spoke with on Friday night 15th March certainly went the extra mile, so a massive big thanks to her and for sorting my account out. But because of what skybet did I have from Friday night a 24hr cooling off period thats ends tonight Saturday 16th March 2024 so hopefully I will be able to log in again. A big thanks again to the agent who helped me sort this.Apart from “My Tantrum” the time Ive been with betfair I have never had any issues. In my opinion a fair honest company.

This is only for Betfair casino who seem to be able to do and encourage people to gamble more. I doubled a small bet on blackjack twice and asked how to reduce my bet as I was only being offered the same bet again. The dealers didn’t know and said go to the cheapest table which was £5 and they didn’t know either. Why is there not an option to lower your bet as well as reverse or make it higher. Made very difficult by this company who I used to think were an innovation to the world of gambling but the big players have got in and taken it over. Very sad to see. And why are the gov allowing this to be done surely if you can double a bet you should be able to half it or clear it.

I asked betfair to close down my account and return my money to my bank. Instead they suspended my account and are withholding my funds illegally. I had only signed up to this company 10 minutes before asking them to delete my account and return my funds.They hide behind Internet chat and don’t take phone calls or complaints any other way. I’ve got to say credit to Betfair and I highly recommend using them. My basis for this is we all have issues sometimes and I’ve raised one with Betfair and the whole process was explained which it should be. I’ve also had the same with Ladbrokes and Will Hill in the past and their response infuriated me. They didn’t answer my query and blocked my account insulting me with “maybe you have a gambling problem”. They don’t take complaints well whereas Betfair as it says in the name ironically were fair, understanding and very helpful. This is a genuine, honest review.

To be fair it took a while to get an answer to my question, but Nayim sorted it out for me in the end. For a non techy like me it was hard swapping from screen to screen in order to follow the instructions, but we finally got there .

Betfair have simply sucked the benefits that customers used to have when betting. I bet small on options like Lucky15, and best price guaranteed, and these have all been stripped away. Ante post these days is like a lottery, along with the inclusion of horses that are generally not going to run in a race. I have to check on entries to confirm this. I say generally.Yet, they hold individuals to ransom when it comes to opening an account.I have not bet a lot leading up to the Cheltenham Festival, and I absolutely mean it when I say I am looking forward to handing my hard earned cash to an on course bookie, and getting the excitement from that. The fun does not stop that way.Why oh why are Betfair, and they are not alone, shafting hard working punters. And no, the ‘we offer different incentives’ does not wash with me. Been with betfair for years and never had a problem.I logged in a few days ago and found £5 had been bet on roulette but I told them it definitely wasn’t me.My account has been suspended now for 3 days and when I try to contact someone I get a message telling me they are very busy.I left a message telling them to keep the £5 and just let me access my account please but it’s still suspended?

used to be 5 stars but the loss of the Best Odds Guaranteed on UK races means will be using other bookies who do offer that facility, something they gave to punters theyve decided to take away, obviously was affecting the huge profit margins already being madeAlso would advise never play slots after 2am in the morning, I suspect the advice online about slot playing is correct, most bookies do their resets at 1-3am at which point its back in collect peoples cash to start refilling for the next day, so are they turning it off at 2am so nothings won before 7-8am in case a biggy happens and no staff to deal with it. Do agree with online advice peak time for payouts with most of these sites is between 6pm and 2am before they do the next reset – Still more dissappointed about the loss of best odds guarantee, dont know if Betfair are aware giving a little back can keep the punters loyal

With Betfair exchange ,you have to make twenty bets in a month to qualify for the promotions,I played my part in this .then come the following month they have stopped giving them out, they have moved the goal posts.You betfair exchange are a law to THEMSELVES.Dont bother with these pirates.
