I too have been bitten by the BETUK verification sting. They wait for you to have funds in your account, overnight they send you an email requesting verification by sending a photo of your credit card - yes, a photo with the security number etc. which I am not happy to do. Now they have blackmailed me into sending my card details otherwise I cannot get my money back. I got no notice that they were going to do this and I have noticed that though I cannot make withdrawals they continue to let you deposit funds. They are just using these so-called regulations to conduct this sting. My bank would not want me to send a photo of my card and I am sure that would invalidate any refund from the bank should my account be cleared out. They claim that these regulations are to protect me - what a joke! Anyone thinking of using BetUk should look elsewhere. All I want is my money back!! Disgrace.

literally a shambles of a company. no phone number so can't talk to anyone, just live chat which is as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike. asking for documents that don't exist and won't send me funds in account until the document that doesn't exist is sent! They also want me to send them more money before they will send me the money in my account - don't think so! please do not ever send this company money, you wont see it again!

The worst betting company, holding onto my deposit despite providing all necessary documents and bank statements, and not returning my money. I told them to close my account but return my money, yet a month later, they still haven't returned funds that don't belong to them. One of the worst experiences I've ever had.

You crave reviews when to be honest the site is slow .On many occasions connection to the server is lost your slot games just keep spinning for ages and crash , Overall experience not good . Placing bets no better buffer buffer oh and buffer some more . Last night perfect example build a bet . Make my choices then you remove or change odds so many times I didn't get the bet on . Need I say more . Perhaps I will the live racing feed also unreliable and sometimes no feed at all .

The APP was great in terms of UI, and the website has gotten much better after the recent update. Withdrawal time is decent (usually 4-5 hours).

I have used BetUK to place bets over the last few days, and now I have no access to my account for no reason at all. I tried to contact BetUK via live chat but the function doesn't work, and they aren't responding to my emails. If you are a legitimate company and you are reading these reviews, can you please respond to me or tell me a way to contact you that isn't the live chat function?

Appalling, awful!They offer promotions but do not like if you take advantage of those so be very wary! Back I go to my favourite competition, at least they offer great rewards, amazing customer service, and that is whether you win or lose. This bookie will offer promotions but dare use any and they'll limit your stakes to a pound. And that's only after a couple of horse wins!

Awful company. They want people to send very sensitive documents, like debit card and passport and address through email. Banks and even the government ask people not to do this.Betuk let you deposit funds then ask for verification. Verification should come first because if someone under age deposits money, then both the person and betuk are breaking the law. If you don't wish to verify your account then the funds should be sent back, otherwise this is theft.Customer service is a joke.

So we all know bookies remove promos and stake restrict. This is the nature of the game, and all is fair.However I have never had an issue with a bookie in the same way that I've had with BetUK. There is a lot of back and forth in my story so far but in summary: after placing big champions league football bets on very good odds offered by BetUK and those bets winning, I've been unable to access my account (with a significant balance) for nearly 4 months to date. Initially I had to chase BetUK as to why my account was locked (they locked it without any communication) and since then I have jumped through what has felt like endless verification checks (with BetUK constantly refusing evidence that has been accepted every other bookie/casino (even banks) I've ever dealt with), and had to deal with a customer support team that don't particularly read email or respond to emails beyond generating more verification requests. After finally jumping through enough hoops and being fully verified, my account is still locked and I am still no closer in understanding how long it will take until I get access to my account and funds. So I say to you, whoever is reading this, do consider if you are prepared to bet any sizeable money with a company that is willing to restrict your account and do everything in their power to prevent you getting access to your winnings. No laws were broken. No terms and conditions breached. Just good old fashioned betting when BetUK offer the best odds on the market. If feels like a very one sided and scammy tactics to prevent paying out, where you as a user have 0 power, it feels criminal to me that BetUK can do this. I am lucky to be in a position to not need the funds for living expense, but my money could be generating interest for myself, yet now it's just sitting in BetUKs bank accounts making them money. And if these are somehow not scam tactics and there legitimately is a department with a quarter of a year backlog of checks to go through - I would argue BetUK is negligently under-resourcing this department. Under-resourcing this department and preventing so many users access to money that is by all intents and purposes legally theirs leave me with that same feeling of criminality - just with extra steps. I know of no other industry that could get away with this.

Unresponsive to some email communication, chat assistance on occasion was unhelpful, my bets were restricted in terms of allowed stakes, ID verification link provided was flagged as not secure by my web browser. Overall a very frustrating and disappointing experience dealing with Bet UK.

Undoubtedly the worse betting company I have ever come across! 😡 After taking months, BetUK reluctantly allowed me to withdraw my money from my account. Only after I had to jump through hoops for them. I had to get multiple personalised letters from my bank to confirm I was indeed the owner of my card. They then had the audacity to give me MY MONEY in installments! 🤯The customer support team are clearly not trained to deal with any kind of questions asked or complaint made.The website/app are are not user friendly at all - I could make a better one with Microsoft paint.How they have got a gambling license I will never know. I escalated with your customer services who were poor. They don't even realise that Gmail and Googlemail are the same. It's just a waste of time going backwards and forwards.

Anyone with a problem with this lot and betmgm should email the gambling commission. They're the ones who give licences to these companies to act how they want, hiding behind all their terms and conditions. Quite happy to take your money but have a good win and your account will be suspended for a review. Amazing this never happens until you win. Horrible greedy lot

This company have been fine up to now. I've used them for a while with no problems. Today I made a deposit of £300 but instantly the account was locked so that I couldn't use it to bet with. So I tried to withdraw it. That was also impossible. I complained on live chat and was told I'd have to give them third party access to my bank account so they could 'carry out a review' before a withdrawal could be authorised. I said I wasn't comfortable doing so and just wanted my money back. That, they said would not be possible. Having complained, I now find that my account has been closed. They were happy to take the £300 from my bank account but then instantly stopped me from using it and refused to give it back, on the basis that they had to conduct a review (of the account they had only just been happy to take the money from). And that's it. They have my £300 and I have no way of getting it back. I've also tried my bank who say that without embarking on a lengthy and uncertain dispute process there was nothing they could do. I'll keep emailing BetUK and report back here on the outcome but it looks very much as if they are just going to keep my money. Please don't be lulled into a false sense of security with this site if deposits and withdrawals work fine for a while. The bomb will eventually go off and you may be just as stuck as I am.

Of course he would have easily have done it but didn't want toThey also love to suspend races before they're actually off which is incredibly frustrating. When you tell them they blame the traders. Deposited quite a lot of money they accepted it but didn't tell me until it was deposited that my account was restricted unacceptable if you're going to restrict please tell the customer before they deposit the money that they deposited going to be restricted they want me proof of my income which I can totally understand that before I deposit please advise me that that is going to happen give me the choice to review my deposit

Website is a disgrace, listing horse races as viewable then aren't, support is pretty poor, the mobile website is frequently unusable, the prices are rarely anywhere near as good as the larger bookmakers.Once my long term bets are settled at the end of the football season I'll be closing the account.

I’ve lost more money than I’ve won. Then yesterday they wanted to verify my account. I sent them my passport,driving licence, payslip and pension letter. They approved the documents but they still are not giving my pending withdrawal of £300 and my £20 that’s in the account. I’ve lost just over £6000 in the last year with these lot and yet they don’t want to give my measly £320. I spoke to chat and even though I told them mentally this situation is stressing me out, they stated they could not help as my account is under review.

Yet again updating on this disgusting company. They have now held my money (£1600) for NINETEEN days. I have had no contact whatsoever from the department allegedly dealing with verifying my account - an account I was able to use for several weeks without issue and having had all my banking details and deposit limits ok'd. The only contact is with the 'support' (hahahahaha good one!) department who are clearly utterly clueless as to what is going on within the business and are used to provide generic, nonsensical lies, delaying tactics and misinformation. They have no idea that they are working for a company that is very probably a Ponzi scheme, one which is likely to collapse completely at anytime. There is simply no way a legitimate operation would behave in such a manner and it is beyond evident that they have major liquidity issues, in all likelihood due to that fact they are robbing Peter to pay Paul. They need to await deposits from new customers to pay out all of us, who have had money stolen. Personally I am now taking legal advice and if the money is not back into my account within the next 24 hours the Gambling Commission, Police Scotland and the Minister for Gambling's Office will all become involved. I've had enough.As a footnote, despite providing my details to the BetUk bot who replies, occasionally, to posts on here, surprise surprise, I have heard absolutely nada! Complete charlatans.

My experience with BetUK is going from bad to much worse. They have now resorted to just making constant requests for different ID documents -ALL of which I have provided before, except my personal bank statements, which they are NOT having for privacy reasons. Under Licensing Rule 17 they are not permitted to hold a customer's funds to ransom while seeking ID information they should have retained earlier, especially if the customer no longer wants to bet with them. I have told them I just want my funds back and my account with them CLOSED. They still retain my funds, so they are clearly flouting the regulations. Please stay away from BetUk, and their other brands held by their parent company LeoVegas. They have no ethics, and believe they think they can retain your funds with impunity...

This a scammers. When I was using very small amount of they was ok. Soon as I deposited 1400 pounds they blocked my account and start asking me for bank statement and pay slip. I have send them my bank statement and send them everything they want but still they keep making excuses and not accepting my documents. I have no idea what to send them I call them hmrc and said they should accept what documents I have send them I have call my accountant is there anything that can send them to show them as a proof of my working pay He said nothing. So all I can say is this company is scammed be care full guys.

Awful. Avoid their promotions: they have one for horse racing that requires you to place £15 on one horse. However, their horses are stake restricted so it is not possible to do this! I ended up placing over the eligible amount on three races, and was told I had not met the criteria for the bonus. Like all bookies, they are happy to take your money but their offers are difficult to redeem. Customer service just fob you off.

Just a further update on BetUK. I received a message asking for my account details / email etc from them. Clearly they monitor these reviews which I guess is unsurprising given how many people are shaming their business. So I gave them what they asked for (again!!) and guess what - no response at all. Just paying lip service as usual. Over 12 days now since they stole my £1600 in my account with no access to use it to bet nor withdraw. Note that this is my money, not eve money I won from them!! My account is now closed and all I want is my money back but all I get are lies, delays and diversion. An absolute disgrace.

If it were possible to give zero stars I would have. BetUK are without question the most incompetent betting company I have ever dealt with and I have been gambling for 30 years. However if it was simply that they had useless customer service staff then it might not be so bad but I suspect, strongly now, that they are a scam operation and indeed have significant solvency issues. Reading through these one star reviews everything being said is true and anyone even considering depositing money onto this site should think again. They are completely despicable and have no regard or respect for their customers. I have £1600 stuck on the site and have not been able to bet with it nor withdraw it for over 10 days. This despite providing every single document and statement required and indeed receiving an email telling me that my account had been verified. A huge lie. I have now told them to close my account and send my money back with immediate effect, a simple request one would think. Every gambling company has safer gambling checks nowadays but only BetUK take weeks to do anything (well actually nothing) for their customers! The 'Chat' feature is laughably pointless as the morons answering through it have no ability to do anything of value and simply repeat that the account is under reviews and you will hear back from some mysterious department that nobody can get in touch with. The company is a complete disgrace and if you are reading this and able to get your money off the site, then I implore you to do it immediately. There are so many better sites out there, UniBet for instance respond in minutes and answer any and all queries and requests with care and attention. They can't do enough for their customers. This lot are nothing but con artists. My strong advice is to stay as far away from them as humanly possible.

Just set up an account with the small deposit requested. As I tried to log in to their site a few minutes later it stated that I had used the wrong password. When I tried resetting my password they still claimed that I'm not using the correct details. I cannot access my account to close it or get my deposit back.

As the title says, this is the worst betting company I have ever dealt with by far. Luckily, I only had the app for a few months and in total, under a grand in and out so I never actually lost any money with them but if you try to withdraw money and the card you used is a cancelled/lost one, be prepared for proof of ownership request after request. A document that you will have to go to the bank to get and not one which is in the format they tell you it should be in. My bank, Barclays, did help me with this and managed to provide a printed document that had my old card details on, name, bank stamp and a signature from an employee, then its a case of just finding a decent customer service adviser and hope they help you out. I have screenshots on my phone whilst chatting to them of totally contradicting information, some of the advisers like to play the power trip card and love it that they can remove or keep the restrictions in place, whilst others seem to be a bit easier to deal with. I tried the nicely nice approach after being annoyed to start with after a few days of back and forth and ultimately I got what I wanted, which was my pending withdraw to be accepted and as soon as that money hit my bank account I closed the betting account. Read the other 1 star reviews and you will see this is quite a common complaint that they will request this type of unreasonable information given the fact you will have already proven who you are at the start of the process when opening the account.
