BetVictor are one of the biggest online bookmakers and they cater for all varieties of bets, from European football to American specialised sports. Originally founded as Victor Chandler in 1946, the company underwent a rebrand in 2012 and was bought out by racehorse owner Michael Tabor two years later. They now claim to have a turnover in excess of £1bn and more than 500,000 customers across 160 countries.

Deposit & Withdrawals

Depositing and withdrawing from your BetVictor account can be done through a variety of methods. BetVictor accepts debit cards such as Delta, Switch, Solo and Visa Electron, as well as MasterCard and Visa. E-wallets are another option, with Skrill, PayPal and Neteller supported, while BACS and International Bank Transfer can also be used. In-play experience

Head to the in-play section of the website and you will be shown the current and upcoming events, along with their odds and start times. In-play bets can be placed on five sports – football, tennis, baseball, basketball and snooker, a range far smaller than some of their rivals. For example, Bet365 offer in-play betting on 14 markets. There is live streaming with BetVictor, on horse racing, but you need to stake a minimum £1 bet on the race to see it.

Live streaming

Live streaming on Bet Victor requires you to have Adobe Flash player installed on your device and is available for all horse racing markets covered by Bet Victor. Minimum stake is £1.

The BetVictor site is very nice on the front page with a dark black, grey and blue theme. What we found though was that it looked quite congested once you entered a set of markets.

There is a lot of underlining of markets, and of course it is intended to make the user experience easier but it just adds to the complexity. There is a lot of white space which in normal web design is good, but it leads to sections being blocked together and not intuitive for the user to find what they are looking for.

Of course this is just our view and some people may find this appealing.

In terms of additional content then one superb feature of the site is the “Bet Calculator” which you can find via a link in the footer of the page or below the main menu. We have to say this is the best calculator we have seen online. Don’t know how to work out a place Lucky 15? then BetVictor is your friend. The tool has tons of built in bets. All you have to do is click a button and then add in your stake and results and it spits out a return.

You can work out win, EW and combination bets for multiple selections.

BetVictor have a very competitive odds offer with an overall margin across all sports of 4.5% but where they really shine is on football betting.

They have always been at the forefront of football betting, which is reflected in the average margin being just 2.5%, they are definitely in the top 10 bookmakers when it comes to football betting, especially the Premier League.

On other sports they have a strong set of margins on US sports with Baseball and Ice Hockey trading at just 4.1% and American Football at 4.2%.

Although their odds on football are very good, the range of markets is weaker than on other sportsbooks. Where we see 200 markets plus on Premier League games with the bigger bookmakers, on BetVictor this is usually around 75-100 individual markets on each game.

Where in one department they are weaker, in the range of bets they offer they are stronger including: the recently added #PriceItUp where they offer 5 different short price markerts on each football match. It includes a combination of scores, cards, corners and goals.

So you can pick out a different scenario and build out a short price accumulator. This is a great bet for punters who like to look at statistics as many of these markets would have strong historical statistics and data for each element.

Six Shooter

Six golfers are grouped together for betting purposes only. They are each priced to return the lowest score over one round. There is at least one six-shooter for each round of play throughout the tournament. Dead-heat rules apply.

A Trixie is a multiple bet consisting of 4 bets with 3 selections. The bet breakdown is 3 doubles and 1 treble.

Minute to win it

In order to win, you must correctly select whether there will be Goal, Corner, Throw In or Free Kick within the stated minute. (the stated minute being the minute displayed on the Minute to Win It coupon “from” time til “to” time). Minute one is the period between 0:00 and 0:59 seconds, minute 2 is 1:00 to 1:59, minute 3 is 2:00 and 2:59 and so on up to and including 89:00 to 89:59 at which point the market is then concluded.
