We did a review of the Matchbook site around six months ago but now going back we see a massively improved site with navigation being put at a very high level.

The look and feel of the site is very modern but the focus is all about the bookmakers best odds and betting section…..more in a second.

The colour scheme uses a dark bakground with clear white text and some other red and blue elements to point out imprtant sections or links. With matchbook being an exchange they are competing with the likes of Betfair and Betdaq, as well as the company SMARKETS.

They have a traditional left side sports menu in look and feel but not in functionality. If I am looking at horse racing and i click on that sport in the left menu then it opens up my options, I just choose my option and then all events are populated in the main betting section. This is made very clear and I can scroll just this section while the rest of the site stays fixed.

This is the first site we have seen that uses this type of layout and it works so well. A really well thought out process. To add to this, the new layout is much faster to load up which is important for people betting on the go with a mobile device.

If your looking for additional content then just scroll down to the bottom of the site where you will find their “Getting Started” section. This is not just for beginners and has some excellent exchange betting strategies for the advanced punter as well.

This is more important for punters backing at shorter odds or for those that are doing arbitrage betting where every odds advantage can make a big difference.
