When you go to the site you are greeted by a very nice landing page which is uncluttered and makes it very easy to get to where you want. You can choose either sports, casino or offers.

The colour scheme of the site is quite interesting as it uses the colours of the national flag being a dark blue and white. It actually works very well and makes it easy to see all markets clearly.

Not sure the concept will take off, but a really nice site.

The McBookie live offer includes in-play, fast markets and Asian handicaps for live betting. The interface is not something many punters would be used to as they use an accordion to open up various sports. Their live offer is split into “In Play Now” next 3 hours and next 12 hours. When you open an individual event the view is pretty basic, but a lot of punters will enjoy the simple interface.

The layout of content is very good and everything is easy to find. You have the main top menu with products and then below this you have a main navigation menu that has just the main sports. For other sports you can use the left side (traditional) menu.

The left side menu also contains quick access to main event betting and then below this you have top links and then top sports.

When we move to the main odds section you will find that this houses the current live and In-play offers. This total layout means you can find what you are looking for very easily.

The McBookie blog is a great place to find the latest sports information on football and horse racing and their resident tipster MrFixitsTips is on hand to provide pointers and insight into the big Scottish sports events.

When it comes to value then McBookie are really pushing out the value wheelbarrow.

when we take a look at the odds margin across all sports on the site then we find they have a very competitive margin of 4.5%, but the value does not stop there.

Although not the most successful football nation, football is a huge sport in the country and from a betting perspective McBookie under stand this and their football odds margin of just 2.4% puts them in the top 10% of all online bookmakers for football.

Tennis is also very competitive at 4.7% margin with US sports running between 4.1% – 4.7%

The market coverage on McBookie is not as large and diverse as some of the bigger brands but this why they can offer such good odds by not diluting the offer too much. Saying that, they still offer close to 90 leagues worldwide and many games feature between 50 – 100 markets on each football match.

McBookie provides it’s users with a really nice betting interface for In play. The In-play section is split into two columns. the first column shows the events that are live right now. You can select a sport by clicking on the relevant accordion tab. Once opened the odds and markets are shown on a white and light blue background with dark blue text. this colour scheme works very well.

the second column is identical to the first but has two choices. You can view live events in the next 3 hours or you can view live events that are going live in the next 12 hours. This is great for punters to be able to plan out their bets and find the best profit opportunities.

During our review we could not find these on the site but checking the Help section we can say that they offer VISA, Mastercard, Neteller, Paypal, Entropay and also paysafecard.

It was a little disappointing to have to wait a couple of minutes when we next in the queue. It was also a midweek day with very little action so you have to wonder how they cope on busy Saturdays or during major events.

Once connected the agent was very good and answered questions very quickly and with great knowledge. We asked about a “requestabet” facility and although they have nothing public, the agent was clear that a request can be made via support direct to their traders.
