What on earth has Betfair done to it’s online app??? They’ve taken something completely user friendly and simple, over-complicating it to the point where it’s unusable. I could not even find my way to the betting slip. Ridiculous!

So i have been withdrawing normal amount (500 or less) and it usually gets through in seconds or as soon as I click withdraw. But when you get to a certain amount (thousands), they make stuff up to delay your withdrawal. They tell you it can happen as there is “high influx” of withdrawals. As soon as they lose, they make it harder for the client. This site is dodgy. Please do not try! Very awful service and they just think that you will just take their reason for it. They think you are stupid enough not to realize that there is a certain amount of withdrawal which triggere this to happen. Scamming pigs!

Opted in to receive 50 free spins I met all requirements and never received the spins I contacted betfair and they stated it was because I paid via bank transfer and not debit , but yet they won’t allow me to add my card for debit transactions only bank transfares , (I don’t get it as at the end of the day it’s the same bank) it also dosnt state this in the T/C of the promotion, so now I have to apparently wait for an email regarding this 🙁 Either way the agent was responsive and I couldn’t fault them , but I just think a few things are misleading on the site

They sent me a very dodgy email wanting all my personal details, when I tried responding, I received a mailer demon so Googled official site, used that email and guess what mailer demon again. Has anyone else had this happen?

They try to charge a ridiculous 20% commission when you start making any real money on their site. And they only show you betting records going back 3 months. Just an annoying company to deal with. I recommend Matchbook, BETDAQ or Smarkets.

I signed up for enhanced odds, I noticed the criteria was deposit £10. I deposited 2 x £5. I spoke to Sajac and he ensured me that I had met the criteria (screenshot this). When the bet came, I did not get what was offered and confirmed. When I spoke to a second person, Deepika she said that Sajac never said I meet the criteria. I even zoomed in and circled and continued to say he never said that and simply closed the conversation. I’ve honestly not known anything like it. Frustrating that there doesn’t seem to be an option here to upload the photos.

I opened an account at the beginning of the year but after depositing and having a couple of bets on the horses they shut me down. I had already sent the compliance team what they wanted so made contact with them as no explanation had been given, plus I still had a couple of hundred quid in my account. They asked for a copy of my debit card with the last 4 digits visible. I sent this but heard nothing. I emailed several times and a month later they responded, asking for my debit card with the first 6 digits visible. It seemed like they were just playing for time but I sent it. 6 weeks later and nothing. Again, I have emailed, been on live chat, but have been completely ignored. Having spent almost an hour on live chat, the agent simply said I need to sent it again! This has been going on for 2.5 months. No explanation of why they closed my account. They still have my money. Their customer service is useless and they are complete amateurs.

Have just spent over an hour attempting to access my Betfair account, without success. My problem is not easy to solve by chat or email, but nobody seems to want to talk on the phone. Basically try to scam you, made an account to get the deal of free spins, all is okay. Then I go to take out the 7 pound, they need picture proof, of address, income, passport, valid ID and one other thing. Funny how they don’t need anything to take your money, but soon as you want to withdraw anything, they give you 6-7 hoops to jump through.I’d avoid this at all costs. Scammers.

I advise anyone to check the competitors to this company who offer much better terms and deals. I login to my (shortly to be closed) betfair account and get lots of marvellous offers in my face. When i try to use these offers i’m told NOT AVAILABLE on your account. They refuse to tell me why they are unavailable to me, yet (i assume),availble to other account holders. the fact they dont answer customer concerns on trustpilot show they dont give a coin flip. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE

Like a lot of people, I wanted to place a bet on the Grand National. Bet 365 allowed me to open an account and accepted my payment of 20 euros. Then my 2 attempts to validate my ID were rejected, depite submitting my own Spanish id card and my UK passport. They then closed/ blocked the account so I could no longer access it, keeping the 20 euros. Chat was useless, just saying before I could withdraw the money, I needed to verify my ID, which I had already tried to do twice and was rejected by them. Bunch of scammers and still waiting for resolution and my refund. I wont let it drop. How can you take cash of people (unverified) and then say, oh we dont believe its you!!! Be warned, avoid, they ruined what was supposed to be a family gathering to bet on and watch the National.

Sign up to their offers, you click verify by sms, just takes you to a terms and conditions page with no option, you then go on live chat, get sent a link that just doesn’t work, and my Mrs is good with technology and even she couldn’t figure it out. Cowboys. Avoid them.

I wish I could give a minus score! These guys are cheats and very dishonest. I’ve been with them for a couple of years and rarely win. Last night I won over £1000, I try withdrawing the money suddenly it’s one problem after another. I can’t withdraw everything with the card I deposited with. I have to withdraw into an old card that I’ve explained is a replacement card for the old one as u lost the old card. They asked me to provide bank statements of transactions showing betfair payments and deposits, which I did. Then next sorry we can’t accept these as we require statements from the bank as pdfs with your details on it. Can someone inform then that nobody receives paper statements anymore? Then to my surprise I received a message has been suspended, why? I have spent the last 12 hours trying to find out but I’m being given no meaningful answer. All I want is my money is that asking too much? Close my account if you want no problem but do that after you’ve paid me what you owe me. I thought Betfair was a responsible casino different from the rest but apparently that is a misconception not only are they not but they are very fraudulent as well as hypocrites. Imagine sending me messages about safer gambling, why didn’t you send me those messages when I was depositing and losing money. I suddenly make an ok winning and you’re now interested in my welfare?

Betfair was a bit of a nightmare getting though security problems especially as my wife also has an account and Betfair seem to think it was a duplicate account and chose to suspend mine after my wife funded her account. Finding how to contact someone to speak to is a mission when you can’t log in. Luckily I managed to talk to agent Yash via a chat box and we eventually goy my account un-suspended. The whole experience was stressful, but ultimately successful.

Betfair of course cover themselves for this eventuality: I made some bets on an Aston Villa – Brentford football game. Betfair had the score on screen as 5-3 which I trusted (my mistake). After I had bet I noticed another part of the screen had 2-3 as the score.On consulting other sites the (true) score was 3-3. Despite having ‘live feed’ on the screen they have a disclaimer saying that you should not rely in the scores. ‘Sad’, given how easy it is to get a football score live in 2024, but to be fair: the disclaimer is there.Here’s the problem: they let people continue to bet with the TWO glaring mistakes on screen which were completely influential on peoples’ bets. They left the incorrect scores out there for 25 minutes. In short: they could have stopped it by suspending the market and did not. They obviously just wanted to make a buck. I don’t mind losing because I was wrong or because tech goes down, but this happened out of greed . The errors were ‘in their face’ and they left them there. Disgusting, selfish, uncaring, behaviour and the work of a monopoly. They don’t deserve any business.

Had a great human support me today on Betfair, Rohitha. I don’t know site very much till i navigate it more, but she managed to get my funds back as i had binned the bets and thought funds would return instantly which wasn’t the case. All good in the end got my funds back. Still think it would have been sooooo much quicker if I had spoken with someone instead of typing over and over. Anyway this is the state of the world at present. But many thanks Rohitha for being patient and answering my concerns.

When using Live Chat, the response is usually very good, even if they can’t resolve your query at the time, they will pass it on to the relevant department
