Don’t be scammed like me, beware. Signed up, verified my account and deposited my money, placed my bet and then they closed my account permanently unless I would provide 4 pieces of personal identification. No chance, I’m not sending pictures of all my all my personal details to some random call centre the other side of the world. My guess is they do this to a random selection of people to stop the them taking advantage of the promotions and recoup possible losses. Also to sell your data obviously.

I couldn’t withdraw my funds to my Irish bank account even though I deposited over 5k using that card. The team are going to change my account to euros so I can withdraw it tomorrow between 9am and 5pm. I will be back to update this review after I talk to Betfair tomorrow. I spent about 5 hours on chat to get to this point.

Betfair threaten to steal my money!I’ve had an account for over 20 years. My account was closed as they wanted a copy of my passport or driving license. They already have my name address,DOB,bank details and other data. I am on the UK electoral roll. I refused to copy my passport to their offshore Indian call centre on security grounds.They now state they will refuse to pay any winnings I am due until I send a copy of my passport. Betfair company secretary Mr Jonathan Seeley ignored my letter. BE WARNED

The site and experience is like 90% perfect. I have recently had an issue with incorrectly settled bets. After reaching out to the @BetfairCS team on Twitter I had dealings with real people whom I genuinely felt that I as a customer mattered. We worked together and they worked with the Trading team and my bets got rectified and the correct monies in my account.I never fear that I shall log in and my bankroll shall be gone and “THIS SITE CAN’T BE REACHED”. I have had some very negative experiences with several low rate bookies. Fool me once….Betfair are one of the genuine Bookies who act with honour and integrity!

Had a problem with withdrawings winnings from my betting account _ I had an attempted fraud on Lloyds Bank debit card – whish had to be cancelled and a new on produced. This lead to a restriction on the amount I could withdraw after a winning bet – Betfair Chat line was excellent – they were open after I go back from work – the problem was clearly explained to me and after a few security questions and ID requests the matter was settled and I returned to my normal use of the account

I used this company for years but they banned me for not providing ID. My two emails to the CEO were passed onto complaints who just gave me a list of accepted ID. Without seeming to care about how difficult these things are to get how does a driving licence which is simply a document that qualifies you to drive keep all your sensitive information which even I am not allowed to have safe. My mental health has to sufferin silence because the world can’t keep my name which everyone knows anyway safe stop blaming staff they don’t make policy o n id that’s not building trust and don’t blame customers they don’t make policy either and we paid for all the fancy mansions and weapons in Israel.

I contacted the help desk to advise I had no photographic identification except the voters id form. I have proof of address and can verify my bank account. I am on the electoral role so my identity can easily be confirmed . However if there was an issue with my identity why was I allowed to participate in betting? Hello. I was a Betfair customer for 5 years, using the exchange almost daily (and often the sportsbook) and out of nowhere Betfair closed my account and kept my balance (almost £5,000). They didn’t give me any explanation or satisfaction… they just said the account had been closed on business grounds. So I ask: is this the action of a serious company? Closing an account with 5 years of history, over £50,000 in lifetime summary, from a profitable customer who paid premium fees weekly? It seems that Betfair is trying to drive away profitable customers and only wants recreational ones, thereby ending the exchange. Personally, I find it tremendously unfair that they kept such money from me. Therefore, I advise you to be careful with Betfair and to deposit as little money as possible there, as they can close your account at any time without giving explanations.

Using vouchers as a withdrawal choice is a genius idea, who ever thought of that should be proud of themselves. Good choices as well. I placed a bet On Ten Lengths Tom in the 13:50 at Sandown on 09/03/2024.According to Weatherbys the horse was not qualified for the race and was withdrawn on 04/03/2024 with a press release to that effect on 05/03/2024.Betfair accepted my bet on 06/03/2024.I made the enquiry to Weatherbys because I noticed that several other firms were not quoting the horse shortly after I backed it.They are declaring it a losing bet despite many hours spent by me on Betfair ‘Help’ trying to get them to see sense.Apparently, I am to get a detailed explanation by email.I can’t wait!Update 20/03/2024: Betfair have eventually relented and paid up. I received an email (to which I am not allowed to reply) including an ‘apology for any inconvenience’. No word of compensation for hours spent on the ‘Help’ chat and the annoyance of being repeatedly, and condescendingly, told that I am wrong. Customer service? Bleh!

Praises to betfair. I have been with them a few years im not a big punter just a pensioner that likes to do E/W L15 on a saturday to watch racing on tv. I admit i closed my account because i had an Iffy fit over a free bet issue, so to replace then I tried skybet I am registered with them for the Free ITV7 bets, It ended up for some reason (Ive had no explanation) they sent me an email saying they were closing my account and put a “Self exclusion” on my account this effectively locked me out of Betfair as they are under the same parent company. How nasty of them. So I contacted Betfair explained about myself closing the account but also what skybet had done to me they on their chatline were very very helpful and understanding, the agent I spoke with on Friday night 15th March certainly went the extra mile, so a massive big thanks to her and for sorting my account out. But because of what skybet did I have from Friday night a 24hr cooling off period thats ends tonight Saturday 16th March 2024 so hopefully I will be able to log in again. A big thanks again to the agent who helped me sort this.Apart from “My Tantrum” the time Ive been with betfair I have never had any issues. In my opinion a fair honest company.

This is only for Betfair casino who seem to be able to do and encourage people to gamble more. I doubled a small bet on blackjack twice and asked how to reduce my bet as I was only being offered the same bet again. The dealers didn’t know and said go to the cheapest table which was £5 and they didn’t know either. Why is there not an option to lower your bet as well as reverse or make it higher. Made very difficult by this company who I used to think were an innovation to the world of gambling but the big players have got in and taken it over. Very sad to see. And why are the gov allowing this to be done surely if you can double a bet you should be able to half it or clear it.
