Following several pointless communications I now have an open case against Betfred with the ICO. Please avoid using this company. FYI I actually made money from them so not in any way sour grapes. They are just toxic to deal with.

all good until….I have deposited over 7,000 with this site in a span of 1 month. after a month i have finally made some profit ( or break even) and placed a withdrawal amount of 5,800 GBP back into the same card they allowed over 20 transactions to go through normally.Why do i say allow to go through ? because once i placed a withdrawal request, my account has been automatically suspended claiming that the same card they so easily allowed over 20 deposits to go through because i was losing , was used by a third party which they cannot give information on on their betting sites. the only person that could have possibly done that was a family member sharing similar name however , As a normal person i have checked all my card transactions from the beginning of time ( even sent them my bank card and bank statements) and NO ONE BUT ME USED MY CARD.the icing in the cake ? they so casually claimed that i have breached their terms and conditions by using a third party card , and that the money will be kept and not released . Emmm ? what ??? ITS MY PERSONAL CARD, UNDER MY PERSONAL NAME USED BY ME ?? Curious to see what caused the flag and how this will play out.Betting site is good, but customer service and handling is atrocious.Customer care beats everything hence the 1 star review.Also, good job on your team allowing over a month 7,000 to go through your system when losing and an even greater job on stealing legally earned money. 👏

Joined and deposited £40 as the welcome bonus of £50 attracted me. I did not get this bonus and I was misled. I had trouble logging in also and technical support were repetitively and useless

I had my account blocked with a lot of money in but am unable to get to it there was a charge back made by mistake the case was closed and retracted but this did not help

Good for safer gambling with deposit limits , game timer which let’s you know how long you have been playing friendly cms, only problem like most sites you seem to see alot of same winners , but it’s gambling at the end of the day some people are more luckier than other but had a fab time

On the 6th September I had been playing various slots on Betfred for around an hour. I started playing another slot called 3 stellar bonanza, got the bonus and was winning money when the game stopped during the bonus and said there was an error. I tried restarting the game 3 times when I contacted the support team. A case was raised and I was told I would be contacted a few days later. After a few days I was asked to restart the game where it loaded from my previous game, started the bonus I was on and threw me out again. I sent screenshots of this information to the support team and here we nearly two weeks later and they keep telling me they are waiting for updates. This is ridiculous and I find this hard to understand how it can take a support team to look into one game and not be able to come to a decision that the customer should be paid his winnings.

Closed my account approx 4 or 5 years ago but decided to try & reactivate it in March this year as I like to go to Horse race meetings between 1 & 4 times a year & liked their offers. Despite chasing up a number of times since March & even asking to be contacted by the safer gambling team so they can discuss any concerns they may have, I have not been contacted. Any time I contact for an update I’m told my request is with the safer gambling team & they cannot give me a timescale on my request. I have reactivated accounts with other bookmakers & it has never taken more than a few days to a week from initial contact & providing any relevant proofs. Just so, so, poor customer service, there is no reason it should take over 6 months to make a decision, even a “no sorry, we’ve decided against reactivating your account” would be better than silence & no contact & pretending they’re dealing with my request

I deposited R100 into my BetFred account from Capitec, and it’s been days with no sign of the funds. Despite contacting customer support multiple times, I’ve received zero responses or updates. The company is doing ok , but it could be made easier for people like myself to find the bets that I want to make . For example , I like to do multiple bets like Yankees, canadians etc . It would make it easier for people who arent used to your system , if there was a button saying “multiples” .

Disgustingly poor service. When I tried to talk to a customer service agent I initially gave up after 20 minutes as I had no response. I tried again later and spent 40 minutes waiting only to have the agent end the chat without an answer so I foolishly tried a third time and waited nearly an hour for a response and when an agent did respond he ended the chat after 2 minutes before I could reply. Astounded by how appalling the live chat service was.

More than 25 hours after registering i have not been able to access my account. I had too many password attempts as i did not see the email stating my account was blocked pending review. Then after the email saying it was ready was still blocked. Last i heard was 8.5 hours ago stating it would be fixed. Have not had a worse welcome anywhere!
