Betway like most companies now don’t want you raising complaints with them. I’ve tried 4 different numbers the site deliberately takes you anywhere but to a point you can speak to them. What a con!

WARNING! If anyone is reading this review please listen to the warnings and all the other one star reviews. Their ratings are false and customers were offered money to make false reviews. Take your money to a trusted bookie like Bet365, William Hill or Bodog. I made my biggest withdrawal of around 2000 dollars, after previously verifying my account and withdrawing smaller amount before without issue. Since December 21st i have not been payed and they are having issues with their "Processor" or "Investigating". I have not been given any timeline as to when i will receive my funds after proving i have not received the withdrawal. A 3 week turnaround time for a withdrawal is absolutely unacceptable. Betway is happy to take your deposit and are frugal when its time to pay a winner. Be warned new customers. STAY AWAY!! A generic copy and pasted company response with no empathy or solution will follow review.

Absolutely worst casino I ever played I got the jackpot on a slot game Masks of fire, the game allows you to stop at random or let the slots run, I let it run and 7 makes came in then the other two giving me a win of £800 then it jumped and left me with 7 a £60 win, I spent £700 in a week just to see if the jackpot comes up, yes it did and must be fixed to move on, completely corrupt, I contacted betway about this to basicly deaf ears, I have reported my whole findings to the gambling commission, and under no circumstances would I recommend betway casino to anyone, avoid at all costs guys, completely corrupt and a con.

Oh and now they are sending me a private message to where betway as I haven't received anything, have contacted your chat continuously and same answer sorry for the bad experience.

That dosent get me the winnings I am intitled to, your casino is a con and a plight on society, I will also be seeking legal advice and still o contact

Betway are without doubt one of the worse bookies to open an account with. You will find yourself very quickly restricted (no Best Odds Guaranteed, Free Bets etc) after a few bets win or lose. The same thing happened with a colleague from work and a friend.

Betway service is bad and they lock my access to my account after I won some bets and withdraw the profits from the bets. They began by requesting documents to verify my address once I sent them the keep on asking for the same information, eventually they locked my account and stopped responding my emails. I woyllll

I had an email yesterday from Betway saying my account had been reviewed and I was being excluded from all sports promotions and free bets etc. They will not give me a reason why they have done this and just replied back to my email saying they reserve the right to withdraw promotional offers at anytime. If you don't want customers to take advantage of promotions and free bets Betway then why offer them in the first place?
My account is now closed and I'll be sticking with Sky Bet and Ladbrokes in the future.

Just wanted to share my experience with Betway after joining 1 mon4h ago. I have found Betway very easy to bet with over the First month.

Been lucky to have waged £5000 and made £2000 profit. 9sports bet only).

My reason for this review is to complement Betway for their speed of withdrawal without the need for doubling up on paperwork requests.

Payout within 24 hours / breath of fresh air.

Also competive odds on all events.

Listen people do not use bet way it's a scam bookie who let you deposit as much as you like but will never pay out and then start saying the money safe when u make a deposit but we have to be 100 percent sure on a withdrawal listen just a scam using every trick in the book to not pay if they feel so strongly about this why not ask identification before your first deposit SCAMWAY$

Signed up but there was no indication whether I need to verify myself. So looked for their email address, and sent the verification documents. After a day received an email saying the documents have been transferred to the operations team. They will take care of it. "Fair enough". The next day received another email saying the proof of address is 3 months and 2 days old. It should not be more than 3 months old. So I must send something new.
Since I receive my electricity bills every 3.5 months so had to send the broadband bill this time which was one month old. That's it. No email, no communications after that.
Come on, it's a simple verification. Where most of the bookies do verification electronically within seconds or even within a couple of hours after sending the docs, and there we come with betway. It seems they are too busy to do the job. Never again with them.

Here are some facts:

1: Betway in the UK take a minimum of 72 hours to pay out because of “UK regulations –

This was confirmed in their response to me as below

“ Your withdrawal will only be sent to our processing department after the pending withdrawal period has elapsed. The pending withdrawal period, of up to 72 hours, may vary at weekends.”

So any review on here saying they have been paid “in a few hours” is false.

I have taken my complaint further and they have failed to meet their own imposed timescales twice already.

Term 10.2 of their complaints procedure states
“ Upon receipt, best efforts will be made to resolve any reported matter promptly and, at a maximum, 10 days from the date on which the complaint is received. In certain cases and based on valid reasons, we may need to extend this to a further 10 days, in which case we will be informing you accordingly. If for some reason You are not satisfied with the resolution of Your complaint, You may refer the matter to one of Our ADR entities.”

I received no response within 10 days so they failed.

When they finally decided to respond they sent me a further complaints procedure that gave me a chance to escalate this. It states the following –

“ Stage 2 – Dispute Procedure
Upon Your request to escalate the complaint as a dispute, the matter will be referred to the Compliance Team.
Once referred, the Compliance Team will:
1. acknowledge the referral of Your dispute within 24 hours;
2. obtain a full and detailed report from the Customer Care Team;
3. conduct an investigation (independent to the one conducted by the Customer Care Team);
4. create a log and maintain detailed records of all aspects of Your dispute, including the
determination; and
5. inform You of a determination within 10 working days.

An official response and determination from the Compliance Team represents the final stage of Betway’s internal Complaints and Disputes procedure.
If, upon receipt of the determination by the Compliance Team, you continue to disagree with the decision made, you now have the option to escalate Your dispute to an independent adjudicator (ADR) for final ruling. You may refer a dispute to IBAS, eCOGRA or the MGA. Disputes must be referred within the time scales stipulated in the respective ADRs terms and conditions.”

I asked for this to be escalated to their disputes manager over 30 hours ago and still I have no acknowledgement.

They are clearly flouting their own procedures, yet alone those of their regulators.

Seriously, you’d be better off throwing your cash in a bin, as this bunch of clowns will steal, cheat and do anything that means you get screwed over. Give them a miss, seriously don’t do it!!!!!!

I once gave this site 5 stars for customer service and still hold to that, but their 'chat' is a different matter. They are ill informed and can't speak the Queens English. The bloke I spoke to all he did was cut and paste ready made answers to presumed questions.

The slots for some reason when you win free spins it logs you out and when you log back in the spins are not there. This has happened to me before on '9 Masks of Fire' now it was on 'Book of Atem' and one other 'Lara Croft'

Don't touch the Casino slots I don't believe for one minute that Betway casino are ripping us off but there is a serious fault with the slots and beware of Betway chat, it's instant, but they are as useful and as helpful as a chocolate teapot.

Opened an account on Xmas day.

Had 2 bets, one loser and one winner, for £68

Tried to draw the money out, was asked for verification, despite having already verified the account on December 25th

I resent the verification documents, was told it would be done in 24 hours. 2 days later got an e-mail saying the account has been closed for "safety and security. I have no idea what that means?

I have sent e-mails to them about the money but they appear to be ignoring me

I am assuming they cannot steal the money from people but I am not certain they will not try. Absolute scandalous behaviour and I am not sure if it is actually legal

If you are thinking of opening an account with these people. Don't!!!

In my opinion very untrustworthy and dishonest.

Do not be swayed by any other posts on here, I would strongly suggest that you have nothing to do with this company. If you really have to just make sure you do not back a winner though.

I have to be honest I was terrified at first when I read all the poor reviews regarding withdrawals going wrong etc etc I withdrew a large amount on Saturday and instantly got myself panicked reading reviews thinking omg! But I remained patient & after 96 hours my request was processed and completed, I was then paid within 24 hours – really pleased with my experience, it goes to show you shouldn’t always believe what you read – I hope this puts anyone’s mind at rest regarding Betway – Thanks

Happy to take your money but make it almost impossible to withdraw when you win.

I bet multiple teams and everything lost. I decided to check the results from google score and I was surprised that 70 percent of my bet won but it showed lost instead of won. I contact them they keep on telling me that my bet lost even i sent them a proof of score, date and time that my bet won.dont be lazy to check the result. Dont trust them…

These negative reviews about Betway has me very confused.

I've been on this site for a quite a while now and I find that the customer service is second to none and also I keep finding bonus money to play with in my account nearly every other day. All I have to do is opt in to certain offers

If you want a really bad experience or just like complaining, try the Leovegas site, that site will take your money and run

If you want to go on Leovegas chat take a ticket and i'll bet you'll be at least number 15 in the queue, with Betway the chat is instant and the customer service brilliant, they even have a sense of humour which is rare these days.

Avoid! They don’t pay you when you win! I have won £7,010 and it is still on hold a week later! I have received over 10 emails from BETWAY asking repeatedly for the same information I have already sent! NO one is wiling to help! I am gathering media and reporters national and international to expose this company until I receive my funds! If you have suffered contact me so you can share your story as well. Been letting me deposit for about a month nothing major luckily only about £100, went to withdraw yesterday £900 and now there saying they can’t process the withdrawal because the operations team are reviewing the account, so if there was / is an issue why didn’t they stop the deposit ? the positive reviews are because they offer 5euro free bet if you put in a review. Where do i start … the cashout option is the most scandalous of all!!!! I bet on a combine of 3 nhl matches i was about to cashout a huge sum after my team scored and were leading 3-1 suddenly cashout becomes unaivailable in the middle of the game not even the third period !!! Contacted customer support they said they couldn do anything about it so i lost all my money because my team ended up losing in the last period(i wanted to cashout in the middle of the game) STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM!!! usually when you cashout suddenly your connection is lost and they lower the amount after on purpose … total scam

Staff have lied to me and refuse to even deal with my complaint regarding it.

I queried how long my withdrawal would take, and have now been told it will take double the time as it is the weekend.

Given that Saturday and Sundays are the main days for sports globally, it not obvious that people may wish to withdraw from a bookmaker at the weekend???

Their withdrawal process has been set up in the sole hope that if they keep you waiting long enough for your money, you will reverse it and lose it again.

Live chat are at best unhelpful, and at worse are quite literally insulting.

It’s a shame as their loyalty program is actually good, but what is the point if they will make you jump through every conceivable hoop to get your money should you have the cheek to actually win?

I started a account with Betway this week with a plan to turn £50 into a £1000 ambitious I know. Sadly had to cut it short at £90 due to the customer service team being unhelpful. I placed a £5 bet on a selection when I checked the bet had come out twice for the same bet at the same time 16:08. The customer service assistant told me as I didn’t tell them straight away they will not give me the £5 bet back. I told them before 5pm but that was sadly to long for them. I should have told them with in seconds of this happening even tho there Customer online service was down. Just found the service a bit of a joke. The reason I have given Bet way 2 stars is I’m £40 up out. I’ve cashed out and will put the money in to sky bet or 365 just find them easier to deal with.

Hello! Be careful! Don't use this site! My account was verified before but after a withdrawal request they ask my ID and bill. After sending, they told me that they would consider it within 48 hours. But today 2 weeks have already passed!!!!!! And they blocked my account. They do not reply emails – wrote more then a dozen. Return my money! People don't have any business with this site!

Signed up and checked my verification status on the website. It said my account was fully verified. I proceeded to bet and won some good money. But somehow as soon as I requested to withdraw my money, they sent me an email asking for my photo ID. I went to live chat to ask again about my account verification status and the operator said my account was open and fully verified. If this was the case, why did you ask for my photo ID again? I emailed them my photo ID regardless, and no one got back to me. As someone here already said, this is strictly against the rule the UK gambling commission had in place on May 7th 2019 that any verification must be done before customers can deposit their money. Speaking with an operator didn't help either as they kept asking me to give them more time.
