Not too sure where to begin here … This started around three weeks ago when I won big and wanted to withdraw my funds (£12,000) and they sent me an email requesting documents. Since that day I have had the worst experience of my life. I have provided numerous documents that have been requested: Bank statements, Paypal verification, monthly phone bill and my utility bill over the course of the past three weeks after I have been chasing Betway around and not even exaggerating in saying I have been on LiveChat well over twenty times alongside their customer service chasing them to speed up the process only to once again chase them today to schedule a phone call which was supposed to be the last step in the verification process however, only to receive an email stating my account had been closed and I was to receive no phone call as well as being unable to get in contact with their so called 'Operation's Department.' I am 19 years of age and a girl at university, I had planned to spend my winnings on my rental and accommodations fees (which are already overdue) in order to make a life of myself only to be ripped away from this horrible company when I have done nothing wrong. I have sent numerous emails only to be ignored as well to appeal this process however I am stuck on what to do. Has anyone any advice to help me? I was thinking Legal action could be a good way to go as my friends father is a lawyer and this is probably the only way this awful 'regulated' company would listen to me. I feel abused and horrible in the way I have been treated. Simply unacceptable.

Hello guys my betway user id green0608, I would like to share my experience on Betway which is really bad. I opened my account cause i saw a promotion which said 30k bonus when you deposit 30k but after i deposited 30k i didnt got my bonus i had to chat with many of their representatives to get it added. At start i lost but then i won 104000 inr approximately $1500.

I had only withdrawn 1000 inr but never got it in my neteller account.I contacted their support and they asked me to send verification documents. I send them all my documents in many emails which were adhaar card, driving lisense, passport, utility bill and bank statement. Then i was told i need to complete call verification. I did that too and on call verification i ansewered everything correctly and i was told i will get my money soon i am verified. I kept waiting but no sucess by this time my account was also locked then closed and all my winnings 104000 excluding unsetelled bets disappeared.
I was told i had violated 7.1 of their rules which has over 20 things written in it but even after repetedly asking i was not told which rule i violated they told me even we are not informed of that information on senior department knows it. I mean seriously they took my deposited money 30k and winnings but wont even tell me why. After sometime i became hopeless cause they stopped replying or i was getting automated reply telling same thing. So i started thinking what i did wrong. I thought a lot and came to conclusion i was rude to them and called them cheat and fraud thats why they are treating me badly so i decided its best i apologise. What else can you do with your money being stuck on a online website that operates abroad and with betting being illegal(sort of) in India there isn't even a leagal option that can be taken. So i apologised to them 3 times and waited. I waited for 2 months but still didn't got any positive response.

So now i thought its not gonna work maybe i failed somewhere to put my case and realzed i might have done 2 things that might have caused this one was the fact that i used public wifi on metro which i use 4hrs a day and being public there is a chance someone else too on betway might have used it. And secondly my address was slightly different on all ids i have sent them too which i gave them explanation too that here in India things don't work like UK the address migh be slight different on different id this is because same place is pronounced differently too, or has more than one name for example – Chirand and Chirandanchal are same District is also in short spelled as DIST and Chaprapo is also called Chapra and more.

I don't have much hope with betway cause mostly i get automated reply from them i doubt its even a human replying. But my case is open any positive news i will surely share.

But i don't want anyone to go through this torure so i have uploaded a video of my betway review which has around 2000 views already i hope it gets more not only this i am in process to make collaboration with 2 one big and one decent youtube channel with 128000subs and 28000subs. My goal is to reach many people specially Indians so they don't fall for any bonus and lose their money.

Its really sad and unbelieveable despite sending driving lisense which they themself ask during registration for quick approval cause it can be checked online by anyone and specially passport which is biggest International identity proof surely can be checked online they didn't verify my account. Why would anyone not think its a big scam.I have really been through nighmare because of betway lost my own deposit on 30000 inr forget the winnings. Everyday i hope i would get my money back but in vain. Its really sad how people are not human enough to see others pain. I think i am going to spend my whole weekend on this matter cause i can't focus on anything else i will be posting my story on every platform i come across.

Also note that i have fully verified Neteller, Skrill, bet365, 1xbet, unibet and dafabet account and most of them were verified in hours. So you can see where betway stands in comparison with its competitors. Its really sad such a reputed company can do this.

This site is one of the lowest of the low. They wouldn't even let me close my account for life, in case i choose to play with them again. Lots of fake offers on show and if lucky enough to be awarded, your account will be restricted shortly after by the looks of it.

Hello my account is alexcosmin1990, i used betway for a while and after i won little over 600 pounds with a 300 deposit my account been limited and restricted for betting, requested withdrawal, sent my gov id, passport, driver licence, bank statement.
They after requested me a bill on my name wich i cant provide as i explained them clearly i cant provide bills as i moved in uk 1 year ago and the bills are on my girlfriend name, i told them i only have my driver licence and my bank statement. They keep rejecting me saying they need utility bills or credit card statement… How can i send them a credit card statement if i have a debit card and i sent you my bank statement and my driver licence!

I lost for 3 weeks than had a week when I won and got restricted. Absolutely pathetic. I was still down overall which is what made it so tragic

Odds are not competitive but their boosts and free bet offers are very good, however recently I’ve had a few times when they messed me about not giving me the free bet I should receive and after losing over the £25 this week to get the offer from free bet club I get an email out the blue saying they’ve reviewed my account and decided I’m not eligible for any offers or promotions from now on, I don’t understand the decision and they don’t offer any explanation at all, well done on losing a customer 👍

Had a football accumulator last night in cup games and couple of others day before ..11 teams 10 was winning one drawing the bet was for 6600 off 5p !! Went to cash out constantly but one game wud suspend then another unable to cash out at all ..ended up with nothing …sent a email to customer service who fobbed me off with rules ..let me tell u skybet never suspended game like u did ..it's a rip off don't get them your money ..I won't give another penny …and belive me put few hundred in..they said it's 3rd party ..I don't pay 3rd party I pay you ..disgusting service and you never win …sky bet n paddy power much better …

Live chat are unhelpful at best. Also, even though they offer bonuses its not a good idea to take them as they end up severely restricting your use of the account. As other reviews have stated, don't trust all of the good ones as Betway have bribed people to leave them and as i understand, are now being investigated for it. There are plenty more helpful, honest and trustworthy betting sites that can be used instead.

Terrible. Chat service is hard to find. When you do get through on chat, slow to reply. The reason I contacted them was to speak about their first past the post rules. They don’t pay out on first horse past the post. I’ve never heard of a bookmaker who doesnt do that ever. So even though my horse won the race it’s been settled as a loss. Madness.

I won a good size bet. Blocked account made me jump through hopes to claim. Then made me wait 3 months before they paid out… Then they shut the account… This firm only wants bets that loose. Do not trust or use… Stay well away very poor…

Betway is definitely one of the better sports betting websites I've used. The interface is easy to use, plenty of sports markets are offered and the promotions are pretty good too.

The odds are competitive with the other top bookmakers and customer support staff are helpful if you ever need them. Generally an all round good bookmaker.

Awful experience, poor customer service and ridiculous policies.
Had to chase free bets after completing promotions, had my account restricted because I won a bet and they make it as difficult as possible to withdraw your money. Constant problems and the help desk are friendly enough, but their only answer seems to be "we are not privy to that information". Use Coral instead.

I find betway very easy to follow and its user friendly. The sports then link to different leagues and competitions which is helpful to find specific leagues to bet on.
The offers and promotions that betway offer are also more rewarding than over bookmakers

i enjoyed using betway until they started restricting me after only a couple of weeks because i won £64 on a £2.50 e/w double.

1st – they limited the amount i could place to £4.32 on singles and like 32p on any price boosts.

2nd.- a few days after they placed stake restrictions, i received another email
We’ve recently reviewed your Betway account – and have taken the decision that you will no longer be eligible for any sports promotions.
This means that you’ll no longer be eligible for Free Bets, Bonuses, Best Odds Guaranteed or Betway Plus Loyalty Points.

so as a result ive decided that i wont be making anymore deposits with you, there are dozens of other bookies who will offer me the benefits that you will not provide me with. i know you will reply with the usual
"It is unfortunate that your account has been restricted and we can understand your frustration, however, this is a decision made by our senior trading team. Decisions as such are only decided upon after a thorough review and careful consideration."

funny thing is any profit i made from betting i usually then spent on you casino games so you have shot yourselves in the foot really.
my advice to betway would be – sack you senior traders as they clearly haven't got a clue how to trade properly.

NEVER USE THIS SITE

I have recently opened an account.

I have £12,000 in winnings in my account and had a £4,000 bet in play and Betway have locked my account with no explanation. No email no phone call not a word.

I have tried contacting them but their contact page is blank.

I have set up a complaint through resolver and would urge anyone to do so.

Finally got a call after leaving this review. Betway advisor explained that a member of staff wrongly closed my account during in play bet. At the time of writing this review they have still not refunded the bet that was lost as a result of the error made by Betway.

Stay clear of this company

I HAVE CONTACTED THE GAMING COMMISSION, MADE A COMPLAINT THROUGH RESOLVER AND WILL NOW CONTACT EVERY DIRECTOR WITHIN THIS COMPANY TO EXPLAIN HOW THEY ARE TREATING PEOPLE. THIS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN.

Do not use bet way they are out to scam you I had a account with them and they would email me offers I would go to my promotion page opt in and then nothing would ever be credited , so I then go on the chat and they ask for the promoion I'd I give them this every time and they come back and say oh we can't seem to find that on your account I even screenshot the promoion and they still don't give me it , out to rip u of and scam you. Quite possibly the worst betting site I have ever used, I am astonished at how they have taken 12 days to process my withdrawal, and am really upset the way that I have been treated and promised different things from their live chat team when I have had to go on live chat over 20 times chasing them around the past week. I have submitted different verification documents and they are causing me so much stress as I am meant to be going on holiday with my friends however cannot book it till they pay me what is mine. This company is a complete joke and the way they are allowed to treat their consumers despite supposedly being regulated and all over British media.

At this point in time I will complain to trading standards as this is barbaric behaviour

Opened an account with Betway as I was told good things about the app …. deposited around £1,300 of my own money to gamble with and managed over a couple weeks to get a return of around £2,610 so I decided to withdraw the money back to my account at which point I was asked for verification documents….. presented all the documents waited a week after receiving an email saying it would take 24 hours , so phoned myself to be apologised to for not contacting me saying they needed better pics ….. so I did that and it’s been a further 3 weeks now and I’m still none the wiser as to were my money is!

Iv phoned multiple times to be told each time to be patient! ….. Iv also been told the same via online chat ….. the last call I was told the review is now regarding a safe withdrawal? ….. it took 30 seconds to take my money but over a month to date to return it !

The stress and anxiety this as caused me is more than I have ever experienced this is a lot of money for me and I had to struggle through bills last month with out this money being held by Betway !

Throughout this whole process I have been locked out of my account and just left to stew….

I just wanted to be a normal user of their app and this as happened…… how this is acceptable I just don’t know

Avoid this site was happy to take my money when losing then I win £500 on live casino cashed out with no problems but then had my account suspended what a joke avoid there are better sites that allow you to win without suspending your account
