Second time in a week it’s down in the middle of the day when GB /IRE racing is on. Many positions open can’t manage them just have to eat it. Liquidity is also heinous. Have comission tier where you can only have 1500 bets a month but there is only €2 in each box so if you wanted 100 on something you would have to hve 50 bets. In essence you can only have 30 bets a month. Madness

Moved over to smarkets from matchbook after some (and still ongoing) horrific customer service, 3+ weeks to verify documents and wanting entire life history, previously liked the company now think its terrible.Heard about smarkets from a few betting podcasts with their founder, tried it out, way smoother experience for verification of docs, better processes, liquidity is good not great but that’s a given on some markets. Interface is also OK but not amazing but again as everything else has been very smooth and good customer service cannot complain.

Poor, but it’s been poor for years. No ‘real’ customer service options. No phone numbers, no live chat (unless you are logged in – but what if you have a login issue?)Emails aren’t read properly. I abandoned my account a few years ago. My wife has just done the same this week. There are much better options out there. No wonder another exchange I use has overtaken Smarkets in liquidity on many events.

Over many years I have found the exchange very reliable and that it provides good liquidity in general on the Horse Racing markets.I have had only one issue which required contacting Customer Services and this was resolved promptly.I have never had any issues with regard to depositing and withdrawing cash and would recommend any punter wishing to get on,small or large to use the site in preference to bookmakers.

Unable to withdraw over £400 for weeks due to an issue on their end. Absolutely no urgency whatsoever. Take about 2 weeks to reply to emails and no number to call

Issue after issueCan’t get on odds, live feed issues, low liquidity. App is faulty most of the time. Final straw was after sending you my bank statements you not only asked what my balance with other bookies was but demanded info on people who had paid money into my bank account. Ridiculously intrusive and you’ve got no hope of me agreeing to that. Don’t you dare blame regulations.I’ll never go near you again. You Don’t deserve customers

Awful. Tried twice to get in touch. No phone number so forced to use emails which go unanswered. Live chat only available to customers whose accounts are working (mine wasn’t). Tried to get in via their sister company SBK and the instructions to use Live chat made no sense. They are not interested in customer services and judging by the responses on here all I will be told is to use the email address again.

Terrible site.Customer service is non existent. No phone number, and live chat isn’t even available If you can’t log on. Emails are rarely responded to.On top of this, the site often goes down leaving you horribly exposed, and sometimes all the liquidity just “disappears” for no reason.

Smarkets is the most intuitive of the betting exchanges. The site is well thought out and easy to navigate.

Not great, provide them every document under the sun proving you are using the platform for match betting purposes. Literally proved beyond all doubt and they still restrict your monthly deposits. Yet one “influencer” tweets about them and they lift their restriction immediately. Shows how much they value every day users. Of course they will say its to protect users and conform to regulations but when you’ve been asked to provide endless documents and you do so and youre given an extra £500 a month to deposit. It really makes you think whats the point. They heavily advertise towards match betters but then seemingly try to force them off of the platform. Makes zero sense.

Opened an Account and could never gain access. Eventually made contact with them and were informed my account had been suspended as the name on the account did not match.I queried this and provided my Tax Bill and Driving Licence. I was then told that it was not that my name did not match it was that they could not verify my account and address.I then had to send them a selfie holding my ID. I did this and this was still not enough as they stated they could still not verify my address.I gave up and informed them I did not want to be a customer of Smarkets.Avoid at all costs

I have had a very positive experience with Smarkets so far. The platform’s interface is easy to navigate, making it a pleasure to use. One feature I particularly appreciate is the Trade Out button, which is both convenient and efficient for managing bets. I’m looking forward to any new features or updates ypu introduce in the future.

Terrible company. Avoid the pain of dealing with them. I provided everything they asked and had been using them for years. Then they wanted proof of who I am but they still would verify me. The question is if you can’t verify me why won’t you return the money deposited by me? After all you surely don’t know where it came from.

My experience with Smarkets has been extremely frustrating. I deposited £330 into the platform for betting, and shortly after, my account was restricted without any clear explanation. Since then, they have made excessive and invasive requests for documentation, even after I provided everything they initially asked for, including all relevant bank statements.Now, the company has gone as far as requesting bank statements from third parties, which is completely inappropriate and far beyond any reasonable verification requirement. It is evident that these practices are designed to make it difficult for customers to access their funds and to discourage withdrawals.After researching further, I found numerous similar complaints from other users who have faced the same unfair tactics. It appears to be a recurring strategy by Smarkets to delay or deny payouts.I strongly advise against using this platform. My experience has shown that Smarkets is unreliable and does not treat its customers fairly. I am in the process of escalating my case to regulatory authorities and hope they are held accountable for their unacceptable practices.

Got hacked, complete dodgy bet was placed in the night I woke uo to see this immediately spoke to them, the ip address showed hacker was from Slough in London. They found his account in smarkets and suspended them, refused to sort my money back despite knowing it was a hack and who hacked me. Shocking support for a victim and as a result lost a customer.

Most disingenuous of all. After seeing various films of well-known people, I made my $350 initial deposit. They insisted on getting more cash. After 30 days, they indicated I had made over 300% profit and that I would have to pay extra to get my account unfrozen. I was given a quiz and instructed to complete all of the questions. They did say they would test me when they needed my money. Ultimate didn’t return any of my money for whatever reason. I followed up with Madacovi and received a nice response that helped me find my lost information. This is a substantial sum.

I had a few problems on a particular day with several markets being incorrectly settled as losers when they weren’t due to an error with the data providers. Smarkets were really quick to address this when I contacted them on live chat, and they refunded everything straight away on the chat with no problem. It was the first time I’d needed to use the live chat, and I was pretty impressed with both the speed of response, and the overall service compared to one or two other exchanges. It makes me happy to use them in the future, knowing that any difficulty will be handled quickly and professionally.

Im being robbed by smarkets, I have £100s on there and they’ve closed my account down, I’ve spent days messaging them then they ask for my ID I uploaded everything they ask for they ignore I contact them again and the same thing happens,they are the worst gambling company around… deposit at your own risk they are thieves

Doesn’t really make it clear that even if you ‘buy a bet’, if someone doesn’t take on your bet, it’s effectively null and void. You do get your money back but I mean, come on.

They have frozen my account during the biggest betting event of the year, when I have tens of thousands at stake, I am unable to see my bets, and there is no way to get in contact with them. Apparently, this is all for a “safer gambling” check! Tell me how I am being made safer here?

A complete fraud. Avoid investing. The favorable reviews are all sponsored. They make you put in more money and don’t let you take it out. I was fortunate to have T R E B L E S L T D assist me get my investment and profits back, but you can also be lucky with your chargeback.

It’s a scam platform. It might let you use the platform for a few months but will then close the account and take all your money. I think the only good reviews are fake. It’s impossible for anyone to rate this platform as 5 star! So many issues. the liquidity is poor and on a number of occasions, winning trades have been voided and money returned. I can’t voice my frustration enough.

No warning of having to jump through numerous hoops for verification of account on sign up or before you make a deposit, once you make a deposit its whoosh, your account is left in limbo with you unable to have a bet or withdraw any funds that you have been conned into deposting because of this lengthy list of demands imposed on you to satisfy SMARKETS verification process.Got on to the live chat and the agent couldnt be bothered, he just copied n pasted the list of demands into the chatbox and refused to answer any of questions, extremely unhelpful.So now i will have to waste time and money on gathering the various documents required to get the account unlocked, something i have not had to do with other online bookmakers.AVOID this company at all costs

only rarely use it as a back up exchange incase betfair goes down , interface is to hard as its only match odds showing , goal markets you got to click on each game then scroll for goal market , then click add to favourites , where as betfair you can just get them all up in one click , shame rarely

Having used all the betting exchanges, I have a few questions about Smarkets.1- Am I betting against a market maker or another punter? 2- Sometimes it feels I am at the back of the queue compared to betfair. Are the market makers waiting until a price is cleared on Betfair before accepting my bet?3- Are the market makers guilty of leaving a larger spread than betfair? Is this just greedy behaviour?It’s a good site, but I want my trades and bets to be taken just as quickly as betfair and at the moment this is not happening. I can understand if it was large amounts of money involved, but often it is just a couple of quid that is not being taken. If Smarkets can solve this, then surely the liquidity will follow.4- It’s lacking 3rd party software like a Bet Angel for example. Are there plans to rectify this, as surely this is counter productive for liquidity.I do find the text size on mobile a bit small, but I feel quite supportive to smarkets. I hope they can sort out the liquidity

Had a great and fair fast, compared to Betfair, text chat about depositing, withdrawing and how to avoid/lessen the chance of an account review when depositing and betting. I would’ve liked the company to be more helpful with discussing how safer betting account reviews could be lessened, or what to expect in general. Was a very to the point and helpful conversation overall, I do recommend this mode of contact with Smarkets.
