Opened an account as a new customer hoping to take advantage of the new customer offer. Opened the account, deposited £25 and they promptly locked my account. Had to phone customer service number, they refused to unlock my new account and said they would refund my money. I asked why? And they gave no reason. I could understand if I was a high roller but I'm just a punter who likes a deal

I used Totesport occasionally, for Placepot and jackpot punts. No more that £1 or £2 (wow). Tried to sign in today and got message that account closed ring customer services. They won’t give any reason, just refer to T&Cs’. They’re returning my £16.36 balance within 3 days but refusing any more custom. Shabby company to treat “man in the street”, like this. Do you think 🤔 I won jackpot on my last bet and they hope I’ll go away.?

Yes..they closed my account today. I got my account opened and verified yesterday I deposited £1000 Placed 2 bets on ice hockey. I won both of my very first bets. Guess what..account closed. I called the customer care , the person by the name jacob answered my phone..i explained him the situation..he puts me on hold.. After 2 mins he says i placed the bet when the game was already finished and result was already known and our website was down so the bet got accepted..i mean how the hell is that even possible...i placed the same bet at same time on bet365 and i got my winnings paid..how unprofessional this company is..they want only loosers...I HAVE COMPLAINED TO GAMBLING COMISSION WITH SCREENSHOTS ATTACHED OF MY BET PLACED AND I AM GONNA PUT REVIEW ON EVERY OTHER BLOGS AND SITES AND WILL MAKE SURE PEOPLE AVOID THIS COMPANY UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS RESOLVED. PLS AVOID THIS COMPANY.. THERE ARE LOT OTHER BOOKIES OUT THERE.

Good service and quick payouts but the user interface could be improved a little.

Another company that needs to improve the way it treats it's customers. Trying to get the welcome bonus is like trying to get blood out of a stone. You have to wait for it to settle, wait for the sms, wait a further 24 hours. What a shoddy system. Gives off the impression of delay tactics, if you're going to offer something do it efficiently and do it quickly. That being said withdrawals were quick and had no problem with those.

Had my account for a few years fully verified. One day out the blue they decided to close my account so I contact customer service to which I received the usual ramble about how they reserve the right blah blah blah but they couldn’t give me a specific reason. Absolute joke considering I’ve got bets still active, avoid at all costs if your wanting a fair bookmakers.

Was quite impressed when I first signed up. Deposits were easy and withdrawals were in my bank the next day. Won about £700 over the course of a month then went to log in today and my account was closed. Luckily I had recieved all my withdrawals so I am not worse off but it just seems unprofessional to close your account just because you are winning. My advice is to avoid.

Terrible. Closed account and will not advise why - not at liberty to discuss... apparently. Two winning bets cancelled without notification. Rude replies, just awful!

I signed up with Tote Sport to take advantage of their new customer offer but I would never have bothered if I had known just what a pain it is to try and get it from them. I thoroughly read the terms and conditions and waited 24 hours for the free bet to be credited. The bet never arrived. I contacted their live chat team who assured me that 24 hours hadn't quite passed so to be patient and wait. I then contacted them the next day after still receiving no bet, and they told me that an SMS verification is needed. I'm not sure what this would tell them as it provides no ID, address or payment details, but they assured me that I would receive this SMS by 5pm and once I had replied the bet would be credited. I received the text just before 7pm and replied immediately. Four hours later and the promotion still hasn't been activated. I've just finished the fourth half an hour contact with their live chat team who, after asking how I make a formal complaint, told me: "I do apologise but you cannot complain against our terms for a promotional offer. We are allowed to apply whatever terms we wish as it's our offer." After asking them if she's telling me that I'm not allowed to make a complaint, her response was: "I am advising you that we do not take complaints regarding the terms of our promotional offers. If you was unhappy with them you should not have done the offer." I asked again how to raise a complaint but Samantha refused to provide me with any contact details. I am currently in the process of contacting IBAS and the Advertising Standards Agency. I still haven't received my free bet four days later. Avoid this company at all costs as there are PLENTY of other reputable bookmakers out there who bend over backwards for new customers - with Tote Sport you'll earn a tenner quicker than they'll actually credit it to you.

Shut you down if you win Fred Done always stuck me a reasonable guy, especially with his shop pushes, meeting BOG and bonuses on Lucky's Problem with ToteSport (BetFred) is that if you strike it lucky when you open your account they will restrict you and remove promotions and bog, They only want mug punters.

Deposited and bet £25 to get a £25 free bet, I lost the initial bet and was awarded the free bet, which I was unable to use. I then used their livechat facility to try to address this issue and my account was banned five minutes later. Absolutely terrible!

Would recommend anybody to go elsewhere. The only bonus I have ever had was the sign up one. About a year ago. They say there bonuses and promotions available but they only apply to a select few people unlike other betting sites. Also playing there games. They are pretty poor games and also they never pay out just keep losing which I get you can’t win all the time but sometimes enough to have some fun and keep you playing is a good site.

Avoid this bookie, they are very sneaky and will try to rinse you dry at every possibility. Bad service, but can't be helped really by their awful conduct and hidden terms.

So I found an article about blocking iesnare spyware used by betting sites, probably installed via flash plugin. I disabled iesnare, now I cant log in to Totesport. Thanks but no thanks! Also stupidly over the top verification sometimes required to register. Front of bank card, back of bank card, utility bill or bank statement, passport or driving licence. Too much!

Totesport have a new customer offer where you get a £25 risk free bet. What they don't tell you is that you are ineligible for this if you have a Betfred account. They take your initial £25 and then after a phoney verefication process (that has nothing to do with verification it is to see if you have an existing account with Betfred) cancel your totesport account without warning and con you out of the new customer offer. Basically if you have an existing Betfred account they will cancel your totesport account and pocket an easy £25 on the back of a disingenuous 'new customer offer' whether you win the initial bet or not.

Like many of my friends I have been excluded from Betfred because I won to much over the last few months. In doing so they also blocked my Totesport account. Betfred own Totesport so for the remainder of my comments you can freely exchange the term Betfred for Totesport. This will happen if you are successful, Betfred have no interest in their sports book or the customers that use it, the majority of their money is made on FOBT's and emails will often try and tempt you into their casino arm. They do sponsor a few horse race meetings but this really is a smokescreen and all 'reputable' bookies do this for the publicity and pretense they take horse bets. If you are regular horse punter you will know that Betfred will not take sizeable bets, the abilities of their traders are confined to copying whatever the market is saying on Betfair. It is beyond me why they use traders, I am pretty sure I could write a software program to replicate what they do. I thought they may be more amenable to taking large bets on the EPL with the millions floating around on each game, but it only took 18 bets for me to be banned. alarmingly quick! So here is some advice for those who wish to take the matter further - use places like Trustpilot and the like, use social media, keep calling them out, create as much negative press as you can, remember a lot of the tabloids are paid a huge amount of money in advertising by these bookmakers so will rarely report too negatively on them. Betfred lies about the amount of people it bans, it says it is a tiny %, where as this includes casino only customers, and people they limit to a few pence per bet, the true figure for their sports arm is the highest in the industry, they simply do not tolerate anyone winning consistently, no matter how small that margin is. Ask for all of your personal information, they have to give you this by law. See Data Protection Act 1998. If any of it is wrong ask for all of your data to be deleted, this again is the law. Betfred use snooping software called iesnare or msnare, check your hard drive and if it is installed this will be from Betfred. Ask for all of the information they have recorded from your machine. The law here is difficult as they claim its for fraud. This is nonsense its to stop multiple account holders and should you access Betfair whilst betting with them, they will have a record of this, and will lead to a greater (or quicker) way of you been banned. However Betfred offer no T&C's that tell you they are going to download this aggressive software, so I would argue that it is therefore a breach of your privacy and thus illegal. The more that question this and tell IBAS or the GC the more likely it is Betfred will be forced to stop cheating you and stealing your personal information. This information records every website you visit and reports back to Betfred, it really is that simple and that invasive. Its hard to believe it, but feel free to google. Interestingly in NSW (Austrailia) they are forcing bookmakers to take bets upto $1000 and not cherry pick losers, an activity that is basically Betfred's commercial strategy. We can hope that one day the UK government forces bookmakers like Betfred to stop cherry picking and as the Australian government says, if your sole purpose of trading is for gambling then you have to accept bets (to a limit) from everyone, not just your small group of losing customers. If you want to bet unlimited bets then try and get an account with Pinnacle, they actually use professional traders and use professional punters to shape their books - not currently available to UK citizens, but if you work abroad or have family abroad you may be in luck. If you have an active Betfred account and use it, you either bet small sums, and please carry on, if you bet large sums and it is active then you are telling all your friends you are a loser! it really is that simple! Lastly never use the Betfred Casino, this just feeds their pockets, make them sort out their Sports arm first.

This is one bookie that has a website that is pretty easy to navigate through. The in-play betting interface is a pretty simple one that allows for easy usage. They offer a wide range of bonuses and promotions beginning with a welcome bonus of £35 in cash and bets, matched deposit bet of about £25, a cashback of £10 on pool betting and more.
