Disgraceful company, stole £420 from my wife because she put my phone number down instead of hers to avoid nuisance calls when they pass your data on. I will be contacting the UK gambling commission and I would strongly recommend you do the same.

Many moons ago, a bookmaker existed by the name of Stan James and unlike today, you could then get a decent bet on no problem and frequently at that. But sadly, fast forward time and the early onset of tooth decay had became rampant ( just like all the others ) and they were morphed into a company by the name of UNIBET. !!! There is more chance of breaking into fort knox than placing more than 3 or 4 winning bets with these spivs and you will be reduced to pennies immediately. Then try withdrawing your money and you'll still be at it 5 years later, after having sent them your life story, just prey that you don't have a doppelganger. They will welcome you with open arms for life though if you want to play casino.!!! ( yeah right ) Bookmakers is the last word that i would use to describe these, but two 5 letter ones would fit them perfectly…

I don't have a Unibet account. I never use gambling sites. Yet there was 30 euro then 40 euro and so on taken from my bank account. I rang my bank and froze my card. How can someone use my bank card without getting caught on this site if you have to give your email address etc. I asked Unibet to tell me the name given on the account that was using my card. They cant and ok that's fine but its like a scooby doo mystery. Nobody has my bank details especially a site like Unibet. P.S. after reading all the reviews on here I'm getting my backside to a solicitor what Unibet have done is wrong taking money from my bank account without my knowledge!!!!

Unibet are consistently breaching their license conditions set by UKGC preventing customers withdrawing funds by only requesting verification at point of withdrawal. This is a breach of license conditions and they can be subject to regulatory action by UKGC as a result. I’ve read many reviews on here and elsewhere where other people have experienced the same. If you are in the UK and Unibet have done this to you please report it to the UKGC, the more people that report this the more likely they will face sanctions and regulatory action. These conditions are set by UKGC to prevent casinos from only requesting verification at point of withdrawal when this should be done before you are even allowed to deposit. Report to UKGC at

I opened an account and bet yesterday, i won my bet and they told me i lost. Luckily i have a screen shot of it. Then the blocked my account with no explanation. Very bad customer service.
My accumulated bonus £90 bonus expired just before I managed to place the bet. By the time I manage to get on Live Chat which took ages, it was less than an hour since the expiration.
They blatantly refused to reinstate the loss bonus and on the top of that the consultant was rude and patronising.

The main customer team was as unhelpful.

There are so many other better Sport Betting sites which are easier to use and the customer service team is helpful.

Please everyone avoid this site at all costs. I opened account and went to live chat and I asked them if they would like any additional documents to verify it. They told me no. So I asked if they will request any later when I make withdrawal and specifically wrote that I can only provide online bank statement and I dont have any utility bills on my name. I been told its fine. So I deposited and I played all good. The second I requested £5 withdrawal they blocked account and asked for so many documents including paper bank statement from bank branch with photo next to my face 🙂 I gave them every single document in the world including my council tax bill which is biggest proof of address possible and they laughed at me. I told them they cant request what they want if I give them some clearly correct goverment document. They reply was : we can ask for anything at anytime if we want to. I am going to lawsuit with them as they broke gambling commision rule which states they cant ask for additional documents upon withdrawal if they could asked for them when opening account. Anyone would like to join lawsuit I am sure there are thousands of people who got scammed by this company.

no stars should have been an option for this disgusting firm. Bookmakers should act in a legitimate manner and have good customer relations. This firm is a skidmark on the betting industry. I signed up yesterday for a new account. Deposited £200 and placed my first bet of £40 as they were offering a free bet of that amount if the bet lost. Opening the account was easy enough, placing the first bet was easy enough. But then spent all day trying to place a bet and kept getting an error message. 'A technical error has occured. Please try again later'. So I email them and 24 hours later I'm still awaiting their reply, with £160 stuck in the account that I can't use. So I try to withdraw my money and guess what…..'oops you need to verify your account before you can make a withdrawal'. It's my effin money you scumbags. you should verify yourselves as a legitimate company before you allow people to open accounts and put peoples money on hold. But through all of it they haven't sent me one single email to tell me what to do or what the problem is even though I have sent them 3 emails now asking what the hell they think they are doing. Thank god there are proper bookmakers available. Unibet are an absolute disgrace and I would not recommend them to anyone. I provide betting advice and recently had 8 separate account holders have their accounts locked and funds frozen for absolutely no reason in the same week. This comprised around £25k of cash balances.

Unibet hide behind verification as a means of keeping people's money locked up for as long as they can, using the most atrocious policies and conduct to justify their actions.

My theory is that the company is either:
1. In serious financial difficulties.
2. Literally run by criminals as the policies this business use are essentially illegal. They use their delays to hope a % of people in their trap just give up.
3. Not really a bookmaker at all per se and make more money out of speculating with customers cash deposits than they do from sports betting.

I have no reason to pick on Unibet. I indirectly control over 200 betting accounts with many bookies and have closures and verification issues with them all from time to time.

However, of them all Unibet are in a league of their own with regards to criminal behaviour and highly suspicious business practices.

Despite winning about 150k from them in 2019, none of my clients use this company any longer. If they don't steal your money and make you jump through hoops for 3 months to get it back, they will probably go out of business and your cash will vanish.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

I opened a Unibet account on the 19th dec in order to play a private poker tournament on 21st dec with some friends. Thinking everything was fine I deposited a mere £15 on the monday morning in order to register to my friends tourney, registered for the said tourney ( which was taking place later that evening ) however when I logged in to play the tourney my acc was disabled as they wanted ID. I was of course furious as I could not play the tourney ( at least that part of my funds went to a friend) In the meantime I sent them a photo of my driving licence, they then asked for a photo of the front and back of my bank card ( which I found a bit worrying) I also sent a full mortgage statement for proof of address ( dated within the last 90 days) and it was still not enough proof for them. Please DO NOT join this site, something is very wrong here. I am currently registering a complaint with the uk gambling commission. ( I would also add that I have lived at my address for many years)

I've been playing with unibet couple of years. My account was fully verified. On 23rd of December 2020 Unibet asked to verify my ID and address again. It was strange but I uploaded all documents they asked (it was very weird ones too like ID next to face, postal statement next to face etc.) after long wait of 70 hours to get verified my account was closed without any explanation and 240+ gbp inside the account was scammed. Why do I say scammed? Because I spoke to live chat and they said I won't get back my money back as they are winnings. However it was not winnings as I deposited more than withdrew. Case has been raised to Ecogra. Stay away from these Unibet scammers.

I was winning last night was up about 16k and they blocked my account straight after winning a 6k win.
I then tried to ring them the phone number wouldn't work I went on to the live chat and they kept saying to me "sir its Christmas" over and to all my questions and it was only Christmas eve.
The live chat was very rude then cut me of I sent them loads of emails as I still had over 6k in my account they got back to me a day later saying they made the decision to close my account this was only because I was winning I asked over and over to why it was close and they just kept emailing me back saying we can make this decision at anytime and don't have to tell you why.
The reason was I was winning and they closed my account I'm still trying to get my 6k balance but there not replying to me and I'm blocked of the live chat.
Be very careful if your opening an account I wouldn't recommend it check other site reviews this site is by far the worst and staff are very rude and they say 24/7 contact and I'm still waiting for my reply

Absolute joke of a bookmaker. Happy to take 8 deposits off me then the 2nd time I try to withdraw they block it and ask me to verify the account!! Surely if they wanted the account verified they should ask for that at sign up like the UKGC regulations says they should. I have sent them the documents they have asked for and they still aren't budging and this isn't a small amount of money we're talking about here it's a 1.5k withdrawal as well as a 4k balance. Within that time I heard back 3 times from DraftKing.I tried to branch out and use Unibet. But I think I’m going back to DraftKing and FanDuel.smh…Technology is too advance too be having these troubles.

Started the verification process 4 weeks ago.
Uploaded the documents and after a week still no verification whilst their site says: usually 48 hours, can take up to 5 working days. So I contacted support and they told me that there was a queue so it would take a little longer. Finally after two weeks I had to provide new documents.
Okay no problem, provided new documents and asked support if they could have a look to see if everything is in order. They told me it was all in order and there security department will have a look at it.
Assuming that the process already started the documents would be reviewed sooner.
Contacted support again after a week and they told me to wait another 5 working days! So again I had to wait a total of two weeks to get reviewed.in Today I logged my account and saw that a document was rejected because it wasn’t readable. How do you mean not readable? Is it me or didn’t I ask support when I uploaded the documents two weeks ago to have a look at it..?
So again uploaded the requested document and contacted support to tell them I’m not going to wait another 14 days for another review, because I’ve asked support two weeks ago if the documents were okay for verification.
It felt to me that they flipped the bird and told me to wait again another 14 days for the new review. Bravo to you Unibet. If support told me back then document wasn’t readable I could have uploaded a new one. Now I’ll be waiting a total of 6 weeks to get verified if everything is in order, but believe me there will be probably something else that needs to verified…

Horrible choice for gambling. I signed up based on a bonus that was being offered, which I never got. The bonus was for a game on Sunday, and when I didn't get it, I contacted support. They told me they'd try to get it in my account before the game, but never did and never responded with any update or alternate bonus.

I still made a few bets, and decided I didn't want to deal with a site that doesn't honor its bonuses, so I requested a withdrawal of my funds. I can't get the money out. They asked for ID, which I provided. I responded to their email about the ID to let them know it was entered, but they still won't process the withdrawal. Now I'm trying to jump through hoops to find a way to get my money out.

Nightmare of a site – there are so many better options in PA (Foxbet, BetRivers, FanDuel). I'd recommend ignoring any promises they make about a bonus and take your business somewhere else.

It has been almost a month since i requested for my withdrawal, but my account was restricted, stating I must provide some verification documents, which I did. They claim it takes 3 days max to verify accnt. After waiting for 7 working days, I am yet to get feedback from them whether the docs submitted are ok or not. To cut the long story short, I provided my bank statement ( in pdf format, photo shot of the mailed copy as well as the scanned copy ), my international passport, photo shot om my passport held next to my face, my residence card and photo shot of my debit card ( my signature signed at the back of my card ). It is more than 3 weeks and my account is yet to be verified. I am looking forward to taking legal action. They are thieves.They do not give update on the status of the verification whether the docs submitted is accepted or not unless you have a live chat with them. I tried to resolve this issue internally but it was a wast of time. If by friday I do not get my account verified, then I will have no choice than to seek legal advice…..

I have sent my bank statement directly on the page was standing this takes normaly less then 48hours but can take up to 5 working days. Now iam 12working days further. I contact them but they only tell me you have to wait it is verry busy on the department what does check the documents. it is only 7,000euros that i tried to cash out I have played more than 30,000 in the past period.
